Recruiting Football Talk VIII

They want you to watch.

But no chance for us. Ward says he will not move us up a spot at the expense of aOSU or ND: that's the decisive thing. I doubt he moves GA down that far when they have the head to head and were not allowed to lose at the end of the season.

He holds out "hope" (or fails to deny, at least) that a 11-2 SMU team that played for and lost the ACC championship game will get a look at replacing 3-loss charity-case Bama.

It’s definitely the movie promotion. Couple that with the fact that he’s a young up-and-coming star, they’re gonna do what they can to get as many young people to watch as possible. It’s all about the ratings!
Yeah but those young people won't watch it live on TV. If they want to see him on there, they will just find a clip of it online somewhere later.

I mean not necessarily. I’m not a Swiftie, but you throw her name out there and her people will watch whatever the hell she’s on. So young people will watch if it’s the right person. And young people really like him. And as a young adult in my 30s, I actually appreciate him as well. He’s very good in Dune and the best role I’ve seen him in was Netflix’s The King.

Agree, but think it's the opposite.

They're promoting a movie for older folks...to older folks.

Don't think they expect teeny boppers to watch college gameday.

I don’t know, I work in education and a lot of students are interested in this movie. You’d be surprised by how many of the younger generations still really enjoy Bob Dylan’s music.

Hope so.

So much of that style of music is dead (culturally). Maybe the younger generation can revive it.

They’ve had money for a hundred years. Money can’t buy you love or brains. WGWTFA.
Not saying we can’t beat them. Both have been very beatable this year. Just making a statement that it’s not surprising players are jumping on board with huge NIL deals at those two schools. It’s as limitless as NIL can be. If they do t see playing time they will still transfer.

Asking for a prayer tonight. The old girl pictured is approximately 20 years old. 15 is considered geriatric. She hasn't been dealing with the cold very well and has stopped eating her alfalfa and grain. We've brought her inside tonight to avoid the 16 degree temps.

She's extremely special to me. And although I know her time will come I refuse to let it be because she is old and cold. People laugh at my wife and I all the time for bringing sick and needy animals into our home. Yes, they poop and pee on the floors. No I don't give a damn. It's an old farmhouse, we aren't entertaining anyone special. Friends and family are either with the program or they can go if they please.

I pray the warmer weather we are expecting will get her back to normal. I'd just like to get her through another winter and into spring and summer to enjoy the warmth again.

This is Bonnie, the special needs former show goat, she had a procedure done that is supposed to make her stand at a better angle for show judges but it hobbled her and she was sent to auction. Likely to be a meat goat. The previous owners of our farm bought her at auction and rescued her. She's lived a good life after her recovery......... Please pray we get her to another warm spring. My two favorite pictures of her: View attachment 703978View attachment 703979

I disagree. I think he'll push for #2, potentially starting.
I think he has the talent to be a force, but I think he may be too fragile to stay healthy enough to ever do anything.

If he can provide anything of real value to the team next year, it will be icing to me...I just can't make myself expect much from him, but I hope he does....I think he could, I just don't have a lot of faith that he will.
