Recruiting Football Talk VIII

The state of Veracruz. It's absolutely gorgeous. Much of it, you'd think you are in CR, Panama, etc... But please don't tell anyone. We need it to remain a hidden gem.

We drove through a banana/coffee plantation and then hiked down to this last time we were there:

Always spend several days enjoying Puerto and their mini beaches.

Tecolutla is beautiful and relaxing.

Chachalacas is absolutely empty during the week, and also has dunes adjacent to the beach for those that like moto-playing.

Got it, you can delete those gorgeous photos now haha

What would you the call the offensive scheme of their new HC?
The playbook on the game reminds me of the Dolphins offense. Alot of motion, eye candy playfakes, misdirection runs, and quick pass game. It's a mix of spread and run and shoot imo.

Listened to a guy talk about Private Equity getting involved. Basically watch out👀
They will invest tons of money BUT they want profits on that invest. Think of it like this if they pony up $100,000,000 they want be looking a $1,000,000 profit more like $20-30,000,000 dollars.
I’m thankful Tennessee is not facing that choice🍊👊🏻
So I guess you like investing your money in investments that produce zero return?

Except where there isn't...Michigan...Washington...TCU
Or where there should be...Florida...aTm...AU

Top 5, sure. Past that, meh.
Michigan is Top15 on that list - which is where 88% of the CFP births come from.

90% of the Titles come from the Top8.

Michigan is an exception there.
But we know how they got there - High character individuals leading an Organization that preached honest hard work, grit, and determination.

Being Top15 doesn’t guarantee anything, but for the most part, it’s the price of admission.

Looking around at training camp news, I see Drake Maye went from being in the 1st round of cuts to a shoo in for ROTY 😂.

This is the real reason college coaches don't let the media see anything but stretching. Wild media swings based on practice could really have an effect on a college team I would imagine.

? Michigan won a title at #13 lol. Further proving the point.

All other titles were won by top-8 recruiters...Bama + UGA had half of all titles as the top 2...

Variance will always exist, but the statistical correlation here is insanely strong.

An average recruiting score of 13 justifies them making the playoffs 2 years in a row? That's a stretch.

Now do UF.

If you don’t know why PE is a bad thing, just say that. It is well known that PE firms are scum who only value short-term gain over all else. They will lay off, sell, or outsource all that they can to realize that gain, no matter the long-term effects and consequences. They are vultures who come in with smiles while they prepare to carve you up like a turkey. They’re not to be trusted under any circumstances, and any AD in this country would be wise to avoid them at all costs.

If a PE group like Redbird LLC decides that UNC is not making enough money within their typically extremely aggressive timelines, they’re going to start selling stuff the university owns to make up the difference—and ANYTHING is on the table at that point. That’s a fact.

We should consider ourselves lucky that UT makes enough money that this isn’t even remotely necessary. These smaller schools that are being forced into this by ADs and presidents with no financial knowledge are going to learn some very hard lessons.

On the contrary, I'd love to see all you progressives move to Costa Rica.
You first to Uganda 😁 We'll see who's better off.

Or maybe I'll move to Sweden, Luxembourg, Norway, Canada, plenty of options.

Have fun in Russia, Saudia Arabia, North Korea, and the other *** backwards countries that drool over perverted "tradition".

Also sure you'd love to see 2024 USA as if we still lived in 1800...hopefully you're lucky enough to be of just the right stock 😒

Cherrypicking. And yes outliars SHOULD exist.

Again, run the correlation numbers. The rest is anecdotal...and you know this. Why deny the clear truth? It's right in front of you lol.
