Recruiting Football Talk VIII

Just curious. Does anyone know what ND’s quality win is supposed to be? I don’t see any ranked teams on their schedule. We know losing to NIU at home is far worse thane losing to Arky on the road. It may be the loss of the year. They would need at least one quality win to be in the top 10, no? I never realized ND only played 3 road games.
Notre Dame's best win is Army. Second best is Texas A&M.

Picking up on tells like this happen at the highest level of competition across all sports. Merely having a coach that has coached for a long time doesn't make a team or its players immune to subconsciously giving off tells.

We ought to be grateful that Tate's ego baited him into revealing our tells before a playoff game publicly (giving up time to correct them) versus secretly telling our competition or even staying mum about them and possibly letting OSU pickup on them and exploit them in the playoff game.
Yes, some good self scouting of our videos should help.

Lmao...this is stupid...how many Dlinemen are gonna stand there flat footed when they're about to stunt/blitz?
This ain't no tell.....jesus
Which foot you have back or step with could be a tell. We were taught to step with the foot opposite of the way you're blocking an opponent.

They must have picked it up on film because the d-line was shooting whichever gap I stepped with first. I picked up on it and started stepping with the wrong foot then pushing him the direction I originally wanted him to go anyways. He never picked up on it. Ha.

So, the Central Michigan head coaching job is open. Does anyone think that we lose Banks to them? He played college football there And was the DC for them for 3 seasons. Plus he's from Detroit.

The pay cut would probably prevent that unless he really wants it. I think if he left for any job it would be Head of P4. It seems like top assistants are more attractive as head coaching candidates for P4 schools with today's CFB calendar because they can be hired earlier in most cases. There is defacto penalty for hiring a successful P4 head man these days.

Just give me a wrinkle in the offense with a Boo reverse or something to get him the ball in space..
I will take a screen pass to Sampson. We got to have more than 2/3 plays. Love to see some of those 2022 WR sets that freed up Hyatt. Got to be more creative now.

Army is ranked, so they do have 1 ranked win. A&M and Louisville were ranked at various times and are decent teams.

Their schedule was definitely a joke this year though. But to their credit, it looked better before the season started. Florida St, Louisville, A&M, and USC were all ranked coming into the season.
And there lies a huge problem…..schedules.
UTs looked better at the beginning of the year. Who knew OU and NcST would suck so bad?
You can only play who’s on your schedule and some games are made years in advance.

Vols have Washington in ‘29-‘30……they might be bottom feeders of the Big 10 then. Who knows?

Ehh, he never shows his excitement all really. But he's the what 4th back, they all won't travel will they? Or is that a during the season thing?
I think we will treat it like a typical road game and only take 70. I think he should make the travel roster tho.

Edit: VQ guys said today that we treat this game like a bowl game so no limit on who travels. Whole team should be there. @Plove23
