The boosters. His players get paid 20M, the mechanics aren't that important. But I do think schools can help with nil as of recently.

From what I’ve heard, no. All the way in or all the way out. Also depending on how far we go they will need to be enrolled at their new school by start of new semester.

This is where the portal rules are completely garbage.

Playoffs haven’t even started and teams going to be without players that they might end up needing.

Any rules should encourage players to finish the season with the team they started it with. Period

That said I think Heupel has been building everything for next year, with Nico in year 2 and a strong supporting cast. My expectations will be much higher and thus I think I will be much more squeamish before big games in ‘25

But we all knew that how it was written on paper and how it actually worked was 2 different things from the beginning.

Everyone has been cheating ( according to the rules). Forever and NIL didn’t change that

I agree with this 100%.

But if it’s true then the portal approach has to change to reflect that.

Nico may be gone after next year and that window to win it all probably won’t be open again for a couple years.

The officials are getting paid more money to officiate these playoff games. If it's like the NFL they will be graded on the crews performance to see if the crew officiates future playoff games. More pay should trump being shady..

24 team NIT football playoffs
24 team CBI football playoffs (CBI is generally worse than the NIT in basketball)

72 teams get a post season. All playing for at least something. Tournaments bring more excitement for the kids, and have more of a post season feel.
