We were better than Ole Miss, and we’ll be better than them again next year. The portal hysteria is ridiculous lol.FFS WHEN WILL OUR STAFF GROW A PAIR OF BALLS AND START USING NIL PROPERLY TO KEEP PLAYERS AND BRING IN PLAYMAKERS

We agree on something. If they're not in the portal, why be alarmed? Other teams are gonna try to poach our best players. Unless they actually enter the portal, why worry? How do you know they won’t pay to keep him? Other teams are gonna reach out to our good players via back channels. Doesn’t mean they def leave. That’s just how it works now.
GotchaI think he wants to become a coach (I have heard more than once. And he also wants to find a place he can start and play for a year, both for itself and also for the experience he would benefit from as a coach, playing under and learning from a different coach and staff for a year, as far as broadening his experience and getting a different first hand view of the coaching profession. I doubt seriously there is any resentment involved. He almost surely discussed it with Heupel. Heupel may have recommended it, for all I know. It makes that much sense for him and we have QB depth now. I think everyone here has a lot of appreciation and affection for "Gas Pipe." He's a loyal and hard working player.
You’re forgetting we are still on probation. That means we have to be cleaner than everyone else.We agree on something. If they're not in the portal, why be alarmed? Other teams are gonna try to poach our best players. Unless they actually enter the portal, why worry?
On the flip side, I'm disappointed that our staff doesn't appear to be reaching out to the best players on other teams and getting them to come here. If everyone else is going to tamper, nothing wrong with us doing it as well.
Yes, I believe that was one of our issues this year. Work the middle of the field and involve the Tight Ends more.According to the Josh & Swain Show, Kitselman is expected back. JMO, but Staes could still have a great opportunity here, IF we would use our TEs more, but I can understand why he would look for opportunity elsewhere.
Anyone calling for Heupel's head is just being an idiot, but Heupel does need to look at making changes to his staff. He needs to avoid the Fulmer trap of loyalty to friends above making this team better. Elarbee either needs to be replaced or given significant help. Same is true for Pope. WRs were not good this year. Every offseason a HC should evaluate his staff and improve where it's needed. If you're not moving forward, you're moving backward.I have fought a good fight...I've been doing it on here for 15-16 years now...I'm tired now.
At the beginning of the season, there was a poster who insinuated that the staff thought Staes wasn’t quite as dynamic as they first thought. I thought it was a bit premature and he had showed some solid play, but maybe they’ve recruited what he would contribute. Kitselman coming back certainly makes it a strong position for us.According to the Josh & Swain Show, Kitselman is expected back. Other than the game what has been rough about it? We haven’t lost anyone (yet) that would make a huge difference next year. You’re going to have these types of transfers every off-season.It’s been a rough week for the football program. Basketball and baseball doing well will really help with what could otherwise be a somewhat depressing offseason.
There’s been a lot of chatter that Staes was probably a miss. Lean on MK and Davis next year while getting Jack and Brahme ready.According to the Josh & Swain Show, Kitselman is expected back. Which was opposite for our defense. Always misaligned and out of positionYes. If you have a chance, just watch how Ohio state played us on the 22 view.
Caleb downs is a great player but he literally didn’t nothing special vs us and he was still able to shut down half the field almost all game by doing next to nothing just alignment and positioning.
