Tie requirements to NIL. Cap it at some level, with requirements the athlete remain committed and play all the games. Also the money should go in a trust they can access after they leave the collage ranks. If they leave the school commitment early, they forfeit. Teach some integrity and commitment.

I don't think any of that is constitutional. You can't limit what one makes on their own time.

Baseball and basketball are still elite. We can afford that, but not football. I really believe you have to sacrifice all other sports to be at the top of college football now, and I don’t think it’s worth it.

i hope with squirrel jumping into the portal- that means that the football smarts are making moves to either free up money, scholarships, or dead weight. i really enjoyed watching squirrel his first year and i had high hopes for what he would be able to do in heups offense. but this year squirrel hasnt lived up to the hype. i wish him the best as long as he stays out of the sec.
