I married into a Tarheel family, and take particular joy when we beat them in BasketVol. Any other sport as well...but BB really crushes their nutz because they think they are special in that sport. Even though they have done nearly nothing since Dean Smith retired. Decades ago.

Carolina has 45 yards offense...and 50 penalty yards. Oof...

I'm no UNC fan but to say they've done nearly nothing since 1998 is ridiculous. 8 Final Fours, 3 national titles, and 2 national runner-ups. If that's nearly nothing I'd hate to know what you think of our accomplishments in basketball since then.

Good question. I’m not sure, but at what 6‘4”, 242, fast, runs like a fullback and has a decent arm and was getting a lot portal buzz and a redshirt freshman my guess is for one year. He also won some games singlehandedly. Let me state, unequivocally, that I’m not a usc light fan.

8 final fours and 3 nattys since Dean Smith retired. Humiliated K on a national stage and almost won 2 yrs ago. Would love to have those “nothing” banners hanging in our supermarket-branded arena.
But agree, heels football is bad. However, no one really cares about that over there. The UNC football forum-if it exists-is not exploding right now.

Not worried about him leaving during the spring portal. Would be too much to overcome to learn a new offense from April to August, imo. That and he’s probably going pro after next season.

So if we can survive this 10 hours, he’s our QB next season. Yes, I’m stressing over his IG stories, I hope we hang on to him. lol

Yeah I am not sure why we call 19-22 year old kids. They are adults. They are young, inexperienced adults that are prone to make lots of mistakes. But they are most certainly adults. Babying them at that age might be part of a larger problem we see right now.

I'm sorry, but I don't care what his last name is and I don't care that Eli Manning has two Super Bowl rings on his fingers. He is NOT a Hall-of-Famer in my book. The Giants won neither of those championships because of Eli. He was never a top QB in the NFL. He lead the entire NFL in interceptions more than once. He was an average quarterback over his entire career that had stellar defenses with elite pass rushes in two different seasons that dragged his sorry butt to two Super Bowl victories.

NIL is fine. It’s created parity in a lot of ways. The Bamas of the world can no longer stockpile 5 star guys on the bench. The transfer portal does need some regulation though.

The problem is being a free agent every year. That’s like every NFL Player being on a 1 year contract

The biggest issue Heupel has with his offense comparing it to 22 when he was most creative. He had an amazing o line that could pass block for days and give Hooker a Clean pocket/run block effectively. Plus had a WR room that was miles better than the room this year. We all hate it cause our offense is so vanilla, but he schemed this sorry talented offense matched with a great defense to a 10-3 szn with a cfp appearance. Without a great o line Nico will never have time to read (process) adequately.

If only there was something he could have done or could do to improve the Oline and WR's................................. nil/better recruiting

I seem to remember someone not wanting to "overpay" for anyone, let a lot walk, and had the attitude of we'll work with what we've got... so that's what we got and so that's what we saw. No excuses. (NW Olineman in our pocket and then we let walk for more money... sounds like we are going to try and do more with less again next season, so get ready-- but you better be ready to pay more to see it.)
