Recruiting Football Talk VIII

What model?
I've got the Quatix 7 marine version. It's waterproof to like 10 meters.

What does the Samsung watch do, other than tell you calories burned? Pretend i'm a 5 year old🤪
Bpm, step counting, active time, body composition, oxygen, stress level (although IDK about this because mine is always low and I know damn well that vol football makes me want a cigarette even though I've never smoked), I enter blood pressure stuff and helps me keep track of it, sleep stats, etc. Within each workout option they have different stats. Like in running it'll have advanced metrics. The stats are wonky here because I was playing soccer for an hour and a half but when I'm running to run it'll show what I need to improve on but also let's me see those improvements over time for VO2 max. Here's my route 😂😂

A smart watch to track my fitness has been nearly essential in getting in significantly better shape over the lats 6 months. You can get good ones a few years old for very little so if you are interested, it definitely doesn't hurt.

UT -18
Syracuse - 12

The 7-3 Vols were invited to play the 8-2 Syracuse Orangemen in the Gator Bowl. The Orangemen had one of the best rushing attacks in the country with Floyd Little and Larry Csonka. Syracuse had 348 yrds vs the Vols, but 4 turnovers (3 interceptions on 7 passes) helped keep them out of the end zone for the first half. Dewey Warren had two TD passes in the first half and led UT to an 18-0 lead. Warren finished with 244 yrds passing. Two touchdowns by Syracuse in the second half weren’t enough, as the Vols held on to win 18-12.

Austin Denny and Richmond Flower’s TD catches

Maybe I do over analyze. My takeaway from the MM VQ Pod was he is quiet, and close to family, sophisticated, mature young man. Has right priorities in mind. Iow, he aint dumb.

Has anyone heard that podcast? Ive linked int several times. No one has commented.

In the podcast, Mike Matthews. Not a handler, agent, Tony Clownsillyo, or anyone else. Mike Matthews answers question 'what do you want to do when you get older?'

Wants to start his own autonomous business, that makes money while he kicks back. Investments.

Anyone? Corollary? Connection?

So tell me again how this about Spyre, Pope, or anything else.

I'd like to start a business that makes money while I do nothing. Any pointers?

Pimpin' aint easy. . .

You’re living in the past if you think a player transferring is over anything but $.

You got this!

My Samsung watch is durable and has been crucial in helping me stay focus. I'd recommend it if you have Android.

Cardio machine big board:
1. Rower
2. Bike
3. Elliptical
4. Treadmill
5. Being kicked in the nuts
28373563. Stairmaster

Getting started is definitely tough but once you put that time in pen on the calendar, it's easier. Gotta have it on a schedule. Otherwise you'll lounge out of the time you have. I've done it.

Keep at it and remember how much better you feel when your second guessing it.
About to welcome #2 into the world. Had to move the bike setup into the garage along with the wife’s treadmill. We just got the treadmill, but I’ve had the bike trainer for well over a year. I’m at my largest because I am just beat after each day with work and just a single 2-yr old (and probably due to sugar in the coffee). Gonna change that with everything now set up in the garage. One thing that might help is getting an app that recruited a sub 😂. I don’t have a device that measures heart rate, calories, anything else. I used to use My Fitness Pal back when I lost 30 lbs for our wedding. Probably should get that app back and get a device, too.

My Garmin watch is incredible. I get close to 30 days on a charge. It can do all the fitness stuff, tracks my sleep, O2 levels, etc. It also controls the stereo on my boat, can control the auto pilot, and mirror the displays on my boat.
Same. I’ve got the Fenix 7x and have run two 100 mile races- both times it ended with battery. The last one I used the navigation the whole time (30hrs) and it still had 34% left. Awesome watch.

This one is a struggle of mine for sure.

December 31, 2024: This is a time when it will be vital to exhibit the fruit of the Spirit. Rise above your carnal nature and give those around you a break from scrutiny and judgment, whether it is expressed outwardly or just in your thoughts. Either way, it is a curse. Galatians 5:22-23 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.

Love that line. We need many, many more people to understand that.

Second the rowing machine recommendation! A concept 2 is loud as a Knoxville home game but it’s a great workout that I’ve been able to be consistent doing. $1,000 and it lasts forever.

Somebody taught me that the foundation of any training regimen is adherence. The workouts you do are always infinitely better than the workouts you don’t do. Because adherence is important, finding a workout you enjoy is also really important.

Also, I can’t cardio my way out of what I eat. An hour’s work on the erg is 800 calories, but so is 4 pieces of pizza that I can eat in 5 minutes. Strength training changes body composition much more effectively than cardio in that regard.

Wow. What’s the model?

Edit: saw the answer. Should have read ahead.
