Recruiting Football Talk VIII

Your reference was too old for many of these young pups to pick up on it, but I got 'ya within a couple minutes of you making your post.

Edit: ...and no, everyone. @Christian Lowe's post was in no way racist.
I’m only 28 but my dad raised me on what he grew up listening to. Don’t think I heard a song from my generation until I was in high school. It worked, though. All I listen to came out between 1975-1995

It was obvious you had an appreciation for good classic rock when you made that reference. I'm 53. Lately, I've just been enjoying listening to a Classic Rock playlist on Amazon Music. There's some damn good music from the 60's too.

This and Heup reinvented his offense this year. Give me the man that hates losing more than all of VN. That man is Heup.

Had to. Oline and WRs were a weakness.

He adapts to the strengths of the personnel. It's called being a good coach.

Yessir. You and DD4ME are correct IMO

How does bad OL play prevent you from motions?

I think the reason Coach didnt use all that presnap movement is because we ran the ball on most snaps. If you do it sometimes, you have to do it all the time on run AND pass plays as not to tip your hand....and it just wasn't worth the extra effort and the Oline players having to hold perfectly still in their stances for the extra time every snap just to run the ball more than half the time. Just my $0.02...

FWIW, I hope we have all kinds of misdirection and pre snap movement next season and are able to really open up the passing game. I would also like our defensive line to use some of the presnap shifts where all the down linemen slide over 1 gap either way in unison right before the ball is snapped like UGA does sometimes. It can be effective at confusing the Oline and causing problems. It worked against us. Banks needs to be more creative vs the UGAs and Bamas blitzing. Send a corner on the blindside now and then. Send a LB on a slight delay. Something. We cant let guys like Beck knit sweaters in the pocket.

My dad’s 56, y’all probably like the same things. I’m a fan of the 60’s but not everything about it like I am 70s-90s.

Really like Bobby Womack and The Doors from the 60s. Not similar at all but love them both lol.

If we ever make a football title game, I’ll be sure to make a This Could Be The Night by Loverboy reference somewhere to see who gets it too 😂

25 points per game in conference. And the SEC was bad this year.

We were held below 350 yards more times this year(5) than the previous 3 Heupel season (4) combined. We were held below 30 points 7 times this year which only happened 5 times in Heupels first 2 seasons

The brother of one of the TCU WRs was one of the ones killed.

I can’t understand how these folks think that the killing of random innocent people brings anything remotely close to sympathy for their cause. It’s time for the world to say enough. It’s time for an eye for an eye type of Old Testament justice.

Take every involved country that has had these terror attacks. Send every single strike team and simultaneously eliminate all of the terrorist leaders. If possible, make them stand trial on a worldwide public stage and then execute them just as publicly. If that’s not possible, then execute them during the strike and film it. As painful as death as possible. Burned alive, exploded, I don’t care, just get it for the world to see what happens when terrorists attack. Then repeat the world wide purge of terrorist leaders each time an attack occurs until it ends.

I don’t know if y’all remember this but when the US embassy was seized in Iran, the USSR embassy was seized at the same time. The USSR said that they had one chance to release their embassy hostages. This message fell on deaf ears. The next day, the heads of all the Iranians in the Iranian embassy in Moscow were delivered to the new government of Iran. The entire USSR embassy was taken to the airport and sent back to the USSR. Not public knowledge. I was told this years later. With this event, has there been a single terror event in Russia? I doubt it.
Speak in a language that your enemy understands. Make the response impossible to ignore. 😡
Yeah!!! we should build a big ole beautiful wall around TEXAS. Thats where the home grown terrorist was from. Texas.
