Recruiting Football Talk VIII

If you're going to snort cocaine out of a stripper's ass, Vegas is the place to do it.

I mean, so I've heard.

Drop to #6 after first loss of season? After starting 14-0? Behind 3 2 loss teams? That’s absurd. If that was Duke, UK, Kansas, or NC, they MAY have dropped to #2 at worst.
I got 0 issue with the slight. There is definitely some recency bias. We got manhandled by UF and squeezed by a not great TX team. Also everyone loves the analytics in Baseball and Basketball and some of the teams we slid behind have better metrics.

I do both, office & field. I still do some labor if the morons don't know how to do something or if they screw something up and I want it done right. It was tough doing labor only. I didn't mind it at the time or realize just how hard I was working compared to the average person. In fact, I miss those tough work days sometimes.

I am similar. Keep my pouches onsite in case I need to use them or just feel like it. Always have to build stairs etc because my amigos can't do the math and build them to code. Its fun to put the phone on airplane mode for a while and put tools on...its backache or headache 😆.

Don't know about you, but my body would really struggle to go back to building all day every day. I work out a couple times a week, but it isnt the same. I can still kill it for a couple days when my boss has a sidejob for a family member or something and wants me to cut for him all day...but then i am sore for a couple days after that and my back hurts a lot. Very happy to supervise now instead of building all the time. You are correct in that a good worker giving all they have in construction works at least 10x as hard as most folks. We don't take breaks, or stop to socialize, and definitely do not pull out phones and scroll. We work til lunch, break, then work til quitting time. Most people have no idea and arent cut out for it.
