Agree it's a filter.

But male makeup is making a bit of a comeback, as far as I can tell. Very slight and not as popular as the old days (or abroad), but it's trending a bit back upward.

Oh I don’t place all the blame on fans. But a big chunk? Yes. I find it hard to believe we don’t have say 200k fans who could afford say $25/month. Hell most people spend twice that much at Starbucks every week.

Since we don’t have the big money men, why can’t the fans step up a little bit more?

12-3 Houston that high raises major concerns about KenPom now.

Haven’t beaten a ranked team and lost to San Diego State on a neutral court.

They're also #3 in NET.

No metric uses AP rankings, more fluid and reasoned than that.

I'm guessing 5 Quad 2 wins helps them, as do margins and very close losses. Losing by 30 will haunt us a bit, but hey we're still #4 in NET and that's the standard regardless.

I don't buy that we aren't offering the same amount of money or that we can't make it financially competitive. I mean look at how much we've invested in the infrastructure and facilities over the years, and we're constantly at the top 10 or 15 when it comes to revenue, even in the down years. Those are all indicators to me that the money is there somewhere.

The general thought is that because we spend less on NIL than other teams, that it means we're offering less. Could it be that we aren't able to close the better prospects and have to settle for the weaker prospects with lower price tags, therefore appearing as if we spend less or are willing to spend less?

I could be completely wrong, but I just haven't seen much evidence to suggest that Heupel is a closer for quality talent and top tier guys other than maybe 1 or 2 guys a year and some of those guys seem to be more DL players who come because of Rodney Garner, and it feels like we're using NIL as an excuse. I dunno, just my 2 cents.
