I don’t mind team golf. I don’t watch LIV just bc it doesn’t feel like it matters. No tradition, no history. Doesn’t feel serious.

Well that on top of it being funded by the Saudis.

I recall being at the Greenbriar for a Banking Convention. Everyone was abuzz about the Liv Tournament asking 'will you be going?'

'Ya know that $250 Bunker Tour...or...Liv...'

It just took a while to develop, but the ESPN story said that the key driver of TGL started back in 2016 during an Olympics. That was well before LIV.

Of course they do. That doesn't mean they are always right. Look at the players they recruited out of HS and have hit the portal. Not every evaluation hits. The coaches will do whatever they do but acting like they're infallible is silly. It's okay to have opinions, and it's okay to be wrong.

I think the point is that their abilities and proximities would outweigh the relatively uninformed worries on an anonymous message board. I know that's what we're here for--relatively uninformed discussion--so fwiw, I get it. But there are really two ways to look at things like this:

I don't know, so I'll worry.
I don't know, and I won't borrow tomorrow's problems today.

Me, personally, the things I don't know are informed by what I do know. I know that this staff has exceeded my expectations over the previous 4 years so that's good enough for me ATM.
