My take on the matchup comes down to rustling the women and raping the horses....WGWTFA.I will say that in reviewing the NC State game again...I do think they are better than how they played.
Western Carolina scored 2 early TDs in the 1st and then only scored 1 TD after that in the 3rd. Their first TD came after an INT that gave them the ball on NC State's 8 yard line.
50 of their 120 total rushing yards came off one big scramble by the QB. I still think we win the game and if we make the plays we're capable of making it could end up getting ugly.
I will say though what excited me the most... Western Carolina generated 9 TFLs and 1 sack our DL should be able to have a good game against NC State's OL.
Mary Anne was from Kansas.There was no medical doc on Gilligan’s Island. The professor was a college professor (PhD). Get your facts straight.
Also, Mary Anne was from Tennessee. How dare you call her an uggo. Just ain’t right.
Also, has anyone seen Thurston Howell, III in the same room with @InVOLuntary ? Maybe, we have always known that they are the same person.
If they had been on one of his boats, none of that would have happened.
Yeah, there are basically three malign mindsets that dominate that institution:The NIL issue with the NCAA is simply that it wants to have a way (it makes no difference if it calls the body "independent") to turn a blind eye to pets and over-punish and persecute their pets' enemies. Specifically on booster involvement.
F them.
I know no one wants to hear it, but they are in a tough spot to create excitement while also reducing injuries. Yes, football is a violent sport, but ignoring the concussions does no good. The original kickoff was causing more injuries. Once the NFL started agreeing to billion dollar settlements to lawsuits, these tweaks were going to made. Goodell just does what his owners want him to do.
Yep.Yeah, there are basically three malign mindsets that dominate that institution:
- the people you mentioned, who want to pick their winners and losers and use the rules to grind axes and settle scores;
- the naive idealists that still believe in full amateurism for college athletes; and
- the academic snobs that feel like athletics gets far too much attention and funding, at the expense of the universities’ other pursuits.
Freedom of contract with regard to NIL is antithetical to all of those interests.
This is like the NCAA turning a blind eye to NIL. The NFL product had an injury problem. Yes, football is inherently dangerous. So is crossing the street, but cities put crosswalks and signs to reduce bad situations. The NFL didn’t stick their head in the sand and decided to tweak their billions dollar company. People still watch…in the millions. Free to believe what you want, but they are protecting their asset.View attachment 673828
Nobody makes these guys go out there and make millions of dollars...if they don't want to to play the game as it is meant to be played, then go become a welder or an HVAC guy...or maybe be a garbage collector or a truck driver or a miner.. and make millions less....but won't have that pesky head problem..well except for miners, their job is way more dangerous than football.
FSU just keeps losing.
