Recruiting Football Talk VIII

In Levis' 9-start career with the Titans he has given up 34pts on turnovers with 2 final drive turnovers to lose the game. He averages spotting the opponent 3.7pts per game. He is 3-6 in those starts. He has 1 game with a game-winning TD in the final 2 minutes (Miami last year) but no walk-off wins despite 4 single-score losses in those 9 games.

Exactly the trajectory of his Kentucky career.
He’s Jake Locker.

I had the time, so here it goes.

24 starts at Kentucky for Will Levis.

65 points off of his turnovers. 2.7 pts per game to the other team.

Notable moments:
- 1 INT in redzone to end a half.
- 4 straight incompletions on final drive to lose to TN at home (lost by 3).
- 1 intentional grounding to give up safety to Ole Miss (lost by 3).
- Back to back late 4th Q fumbles against OM. Final one inside 2 minutes (lost by 3).
- 1 INT on final play of the game to lose to Vandy (lost by 3).
- 1 INT in RZ against UGA in 1st half (lost 16-6).

- Only ONE game-winning touchdown inside 2 minutes in his Kentucky career. But still his defense had to stop the opponent to win. No walk-offs.

2.7 points to opponents on average, look at all of those un-clutch moments in games lost by 3.

He threw 23 total interceptions. He had at least a dozen fumbles.

If by chance Seldon has to shut it down for the season, the RB department will be just fine with Sampson, Bishop, Keith and need be Lewis.

No need to rush Seldon back into action.
I’m hoping Seldon isn’t one of those really talented but unlucky guys that just can’t stay healthy.

The Titans went from Ryan Tannehill who, for all his flaws, you could generally trust to win you a game late in the 4th quarter and make a clutch play/drive. To Levis who has never had a walk-off win and who has only led 2(!) touchdown drives in his entire NFL and college career!
Tannehill has nothing left in his arm. There’s a reason he’s a FA and nobody picked him up

Not saying Levis is the answer but Tannehill’s arm is cooked now

Officer has already been placed on administration leave pending an internal affairs investigation. Idk what Tyreek said right here but this is a bad look for that officer. Or, I’m guessing this is the officer that was placed on leave at least.

Also, former Walter Payton Man of the Year, Calais Campbell, was also put in cuffs after he stopped and came over to try and de-escalate. Jonnu Smith also tried to help but stopped short before being placed in cuffs.

Mike McDaniel commented after the game that he’s only heard one side of the story so far but that the details he heard were disturbing and disappointing.
