Recruiting Football Talk VIII

A lot of QB's look a whole lot different if you start hacking into their stats from productive games. Hopefully it was a talent/play calling issue that slowed production in SEC play and it gets worked out. He can make any throw when he isn't hearing footsteps as soon as he steps on the field.
He’s not as good as he thinks he his and differently not worth what he’s getting imo.

Honestly I think Some of the narrative that was used against Carthon was somewhat reinforced in that interview........... And I was completely on the incompetent ownership/front office train....... Now I'm not so sure after that interview.
I hesitate to ask... what part of the interview reinforced the narrative?

That he's a family man and values his role as a father and when traveling with the team he reads books?

They're also #3 in NET.

No metric uses AP rankings, more fluid and reasoned than that.

I'm guessing 5 Quad 2 wins helps them, as do margins and very close losses. Losing by 30 will haunt us a bit, but hey we're still #4 in NET and that's the standard regardless.

0-3 against Quad 1 though

We’re 4-1, and we’re 1-0 against Quad 2

So a 3 loss team that’s 5-3 against Quad 1 & 2 should be above a 1 loss team that is 5-1 against Quad 1& 2?

It's just optics. You have a historically bad loss, you're going to drop more than you probably deserve. Not saying I agree, but that's always how it's going to work.

If Duke loses by 30 to someone, they're going to drop a lot too.
