Recruiting Forum 90 Day Weight Loss Thread

That's very true. I love tuna and swordfish, but I'll eat those once a week at most due to Mercury. Canned chunk light tuna is good since that's lower in mercury, since it's not as high as the yellowfin tuna on the foodchain and avoids the mercury consumption you see with larger fish.

Sardines are very healthy and some of the most nutritious fish around, plus they're dirt cheap and readily available in canned form. It's important to avoid the sardines that are canned in oil, since it's usually lower quality oil like canola. Best to purchase sardines in water.

Yeah, even after what I said I typically have weeks where I will eat tuna salad for lunch 3-4 times throughout the week at work because it is cheap and get's me my fish for the day. The tuna I buy is caught using a sustainable method and is packed and cooked while in the can so it keeps all of the good juices that we actually need like the omegas. A lot of your mass produced stuff is cooked and then canned which allows for a lot of the healthy parts of eating tuna to be left out.

Low carb crust? Tell me more.
Fathead Pizza

Flour and gluten-free, homemade dough. Low carb.

1.5 cup shredded low-moisture mozzerella
3/4 cup superfine almond flour
2 Tbsp cream cheese
1 egg
Salt, garlic and dried herbs
Rao's Marinara

Melt cheeses in microwave for 1 min, stir and 30 seconds more. Add the other ingredients while stirring aggressively. Roll out between 2 parchment papers. Leave on the bottom paper.

Preheat egg to 425 with stone or cast iron pan. Check stone temp with infrared thermometer! Slide crust with paper on the stone. Grill for 8 minutes. Remove from grill. Flip crust over and add toppings. Slide directly on stone and bake a few more minutes until toppings are done.

@InVOLuntary its a bunch of calories in this even tho low carb. I like to do it on a Saturday night and I basically fast all day until supper time with this meal. I can then eat quite a bit and stay under my calorie and carb daily intake goal.

I've come to the point where I say screw the calories and focus almost solely on carbs. It's worked for me to this point. Do you know approximately the carb count?

Man not really. Basically what ever is in the almond flower. You can shred your own cheese and that will cut down on carb intake also. Bc packaged shredded cheese has a few carbs for preserving purpose. I would say maybe 30 or so carbs in a whole pizza

June 30: 159 lbs

Not surprised I'm up on the scale this week since I've upped my carb intake and I'm carrying some additional water weight. A bit of a necessity if you're running outside regularly.

All good though, happy to maintain my current and recomp for a couple of weeks and then take the weight loss a little bit slower.

It's been an interesting week. I topped out on Wednesday at 221.....up 5 pounds from my original weight. This past week, I walked a minimum of 2 miles each day, monitored my calorie intake and kept it as low as I could, and drank between 1 and 2 gallons of water each day.

This morning my weight was 218.

I am extremely disappointed and aggravated but still committed to continue with my best effort to the very end.
