U and breaker have made great points. The first mistake was hiring Sal. A team like UT, who is trying to get things back running, doesnt need an inexperienced DC calling the shots. U bring in a proven guy under these circumstances.

And that decision makes it look like we need to fire 2 of your Bama boys, as we have been hearing that Sal was Hart's guy which is why Hart is a bit reluctant to fire Dooley as he feels responsible.

Agreed! :hi: Like I said somewhere, has anyone wondered what our defense would be like if we had hired that no-name DC from Navy, Buddy Greene?? There was a melt-down when it looked like it might happen, but now I kind of wished it would have happened, because things can't be any worse than they are on that side of the ball.

if thats what needs to happen. I was never sold on Sunseri being a DC at UT given the situation. An unproven DC running a 3-4 combined with an average defense that has been running a 4-3 spelled trouble. I didnt think it would be 115th ranked bad but I didnt expect it to be good either.

I didnt realize UT was a top 30 defense last year. That makes the situation look even worse

From Rivals -

Joker Phillips is the first BCS coach to fall in what looks to be a moderately active offseason. Next up? Frank Spaziani at Boston College, John L. Smith at Arkansas, Danny Hope at Purdue, Derek Dooley at Tennessee and I think Jeff Tedford at Cal and Gene Chizik at Auburn are gone as well.

What this means even more than the head coaches being gone is the amount of shifting around the assistants will be doing. Only Auburn is recruiting at a national top-10 level, but keep in mind that the coaches who fill these jobs, guys such as Charlie Strong, Kirby Smart, James Franklin or others will have a major impact on how we close out 2013.

FWIW, Mizzou's tackle Justin Britt is injured and will miss the game. After his injury, they will only have 2 OL that have started most of the season and 1 that has started all 10 games for them. Look to DGB have a more expanded role in the offense. He had his best game last week with 7 catches and 86 yards.

Based on our past defensive performances, this week's game will be even better. I would love to see Bonner on the field covering DGB most of the game.

Why did they revoke the scholly?

Rumor going around, school and lack of field production this year... #2 DE on Rivals... others are claiming he is a head case, but I have no real details on that. LSU has been putting the stomp on recruits the last couple of weeks, basically going through which ones are serious and which ones are not.

Justin Manning is all mad because LSU wouldn't let him come to the Bama game. Another Bama recruit came in for the Bama game and LSU knew he was potential a bad seed and they kept him from the other recruits. Unfortunately, these recruits are trying to abuse what they are given... I say the right call by Les. LSU has been getting out this game of recruiting since last year.

LSU is no longer holding spots, if you want to come, fine come on down, if not, get out of the way.

My take LSU went all in on Beckwith and I would not be surprised by 1-2 other DL already silent commits. The loser in this is Williams as he is/could be a Mingo-type replacement or project. Most other systems he might have to be standup LB.

He will more than likely go to Miami since they were the other favorite. FSU would be another team to watch

Glad someone picked up on it. The only thing to get through times like these is to have a sense of humor about it.

You have to realize I am a little slow. lol

At one time I probably drank too much of the purple kool aid.:)

yeah Bo Scarbrough, the coaches invited him but didnt pay him any attention while he was there. Whats the purpose of inviting him if u r going to do that. makes no sense at all. Should have just told him that they didnt want him on campus. Waste of resources there.

I am actually in agreement with you, I wish LSU would have pulled the trigger the whole way on that one. What they did for Manning was tell him he could come but not for the Bama game. They should have done the same thing to Scarbrough.

At one time, I drank too much of the Doolaid
