Living in Cali for 25 plus years and now in Big 10 Country for 8 plus... I hope the SEC demolishes the competition as my SEC toughest conference argument ALWAYS fell on deaf ears in the respective areas. :bash:

Not going to play insider because i'm not. But I do know for a fact that Kirby Smart has been contacted and has told another member of Saban's staff that he would be part of his UT staff.

There are too many fans who will not support a Smart hire. The next hire has to be one that will unite the fan base.

Not sure hiring Vince Lombardi could completely unite this crazy a$$ fan base. Me? I'll support (almost) any coach, but I will ALWAYS support those players. Hope we win out.

Unfortunately, ALTHOUGH I HOPE I AM SOOOOO WRONG, I think this is what happens. I pray Kirby knows how to hire a staff and recruit. Personally, rather keep Dools than attain Kirby. Damn

It's not a done deal by any means. It is further along than I would have believed though. Apparently contact was initiated much earlier than I would have ever guessed.

Kinda sad. There are thousands of coaches in college football and the furthest we look to obtain a new one is a couple hrs south.

Eh, it happens. I have no control, but only to watch how it plays out. A lot should take the same philosophy. :salute:

SABAN runs that team. He was the reason Sunseri got national recruiting acclaim. He will also be the reason that Smart will get paid to be a head coach. It doesn't matter what holes he will have to fill. No Alabama ties please.
