Well, he was the beneficiary of Chavis' yearly breakdown.

He wasn't even passing for positive yards when they played tight coverage. Chavis and that BS is why Spurrier used to kill him year in and year out at Florida.

SN: our coaches not attacking Bama downfield was a joke. Playing scared gets you beat 99% of the time.

That sucks for the LSU players because they played twice as good as bama.. Chavis lost that game
Mettenburger had the game of his life

He keeps winning BB.

I hate that BS. Bama defense and running game keeps winning. You can't just look at a QBs wins and assume he's great. McElroy sure isn't an elite QB. Bama QBs manage games and don't screw up. RB's pound it till other team has 9 in the box then throws QB throws easy passes.

Guy is under no where near the pressure Bray is to win the game. It's always on Bray to win the game. Always has been since he started playing QB for us.

Don't think I see the word "great" in my post. That was a poke at BB from his previous post. But you have to have a smart QB and he is. You have good college QB's and then you have QB's that are good enough to go Pro. Thats the difference between Bray and McElroy. McElroy does play smart. But I didn't say he was great.

If you didn't listen to 104.5 this morning, you should. Doug Matthews was talking about the demise of UT football. It goes into Presidents, BOT's, Chancellors, and AD. He didn't even mention coaches (and he hated Kiffin).

Not saying Dooley is he man, but this makes me think we will not be a champion again even if the almighty Gruden comes to town (which I'm not opposed to, just not thinking he is the the missing link to all our troubles). A lot of things to fix. When the Zone gets it up online I will try to link it for easier finding.

Yeah keep that nonsense to yourself. Right coach can win championships here. Don't care what's going on behind the scenes on the administrative side of things.

While I agree there are problems that need to be overcome, the right coach can overcome those hurdles. For example, Brian Kelly has changed Notre Dame from the administration down.

Tennessee is a Ferrari. Unfortunately, that Ferrari has a four cylinder engine (Dooley) right now. Drop the beast in it and things will turn around quickly.

I agree with you. Even at the lowest point in Tennessee history, our recruiting classes are consistently in or near the top 15.

Get a solid coach in here that is committed to recruiting and we are right back in the thick of things.

On top of that Dooley is putting 87 octane players in this Ferrari of a program. He's Tennessee's Mike Shula.

Legendary coach's son leading a legendary program but doesn't know what the hell he's doing.

What I'm about to say, I'm sure I will get bashed for.

Say what you want but Hugh Freeze at Ole Miss is doing good things. I know they got their teeth kicked in by UGA in the 2nd half, but he's doing good things on the academics side of things. When he arrived, 25 players were below the GPA limit, so he started attending classes with kids, he even would help tutor them, now there is only 3 players under that limit. The GPA average for the team has increased almost a full point (1.0). That's very impressive. That just speaks volumes of his character. (I know most of you think he is dirty).

He may not be getting instant results, but if I'm an Ole Miss fan, I'm feeling good about where the program is headed.

Just an honest example.

Freeze has Ole Miss playing much better than anyone expected. Franklin has Vanderbilt playing good football(stop hating folks). Sumlin came in at Texas A&M and is doing very good work in his first year. They competed with LSU and Florida in his first year. He blasted Miss. State out of here and he's got a shot at upsetting Bama this week. Petrino won at Arky when they were nothing as a program. Upset LSU first year there. The coach can't win because of the admin. is BS.

Got a couple questions for some of you that follow recruiting closely...

Out of all the recruits in last years class that we were in on, which one (if any) would be helping this defense out the most this year?

Which one that we're in on now would help the most next year on defense?

Otha would give some speed at LB. It might erase a few big running plays.

Any DB. Lol.
