Barring a crazy loss, I think LSU, OSU and Clemson are close to locks. The Ducks can still win the Pac-12 and edge out Bama, if UGA loses to LSU in the SECCG. Not likely, but possible, given Bama's weak SOS. But in the end, politics probably prevail, and Saban rolls into the #4 spot.

There's no way you can put Bama in if you have a 1 loss conference champion OU and a 1 loss conference champion OR, and a 1 loss or undefeated SEC champion. There's not room.

1. LSU/GA
2. Undefeated Conference Champion OSU
3. Undefeated Conference Champion Clemson
4. 1 Loss Conference Champion OU/OR
5. OU/OR
6. Bama.

There's no way they'd put bama in with only one good win over those conference champions. No way.

If Bama beats Auburn they would have to be ahead of Oregon who lost to Auburn. At least IMO.

Bama is actually in a great spot. If LSU wins the SEC and Bama wins out they will be in.

Your top three are correct.
But it's still gonna be a tall order to convince folks that bama isn't one of the best 4, if LSU wins out.
If UGA wins the SEC...I think UGA and LSU get in.
So if we're against bama getting in the playoff.. We're UGA fans... And Auburn fans for the iron bowl.

That is always the issue they have when it comes down to it.

Not as shocking as the officiating when we played bammer. They should have 2 losses right now.

Bama privilege. But is a Bama-LSU rematch a game people really want to see? Need those TV ratings.

I think the TV ratings would be highest if OR were allowed to get in, and as wrong as that would be, it could no way be more wrong than putting bammer in there with the extra privilege of a bye week. The advertisers and networks and the media complex that is a part of them are dying to have a west coast team in the final 4. It's the whole reasoning behind dirty Urban to USC.

True, but as previous noted, they play in a weak conference. ACC and PAC12 conferences are a joke. Big 12 is meh. SEC and Big 10 are at the top.

I'll try to quit reiterating it, but the key to the whole problem is the rigged officiating in the Tennessee-Bammer game. Else, everything would have played out.

No matter how it all ends up, the committee holds the trump card-- the eye test. And that's where Bama slides in, even if Oregon wins out, takes the Pac-12 title and finishes 12-1, with only that opening loss to Auburn.

Of course, I'm hoping UCLA wins out, and that would completely eliminate the Pac-12 from the convo.

Sure, but LSU will crush them. Just keep Saban from retiring before Cornbread gets a rematch, maybe an unrigged one, but that looks less than likely. Put Baylor or f-cking Hawaii in there, idc.

Or if you are going to put bammer in there anyway, give LSU the bye week: they earned it on the field. And call Atlanta the game for #2 in the league.
