Just got done reading the past 30-40 pages in this thread. Glad to see my man @nicksjuzunk getting clients. Brother knows whats up about eating right, working out the correct way, and combining the two. Made me look fly for a white guy in my wedding suit a month ago.

Sh*t, I don't get out enough. I have no clue what that means.

Some sound reasoning. Who is Clempson likely to play in the conference championship?

Virginia assuming they beat VA Tech in their head to head. VA Tech & Pitt are in that division too and all 3 have 2 losses, Pitt has to play UNC, VA Tech, & BC still. Virginia's last game is VA Tech in conference so they seem most likely to face Clemson.

I'd probably have them in that order... Bama > PSU > OU

I mean if we're harping on Clemson then we have to equally harp on OU...their biggest win is Texas and they lost to Kansas State. Clemson is undefeated and beat A&M (who I think is better than Texas)

PSU though has a gauntlet left to even stand a chance at remaining a 1 loss. Could be rewarded though if they manage to win out they'll have had to beaten OSU & Minnesota in a rematch.
I think Minnesota deserves it more than Clemson right now

Auburn will beat Georgia this weekend and eliminate them from the playoff talk. Remember, Auburn had an off week this past weekend. They are about to show everyone just how anemic the Georgia offense really is.
And I can't get excited about it because of how Auburn recruits....sigh

And everyone said this about Wisconsin too...then they face some tough teams and aren't even in the discussion anymore.
Penn state is a tough team, tougher than anyone Clemson has played. No way you can argue Clemson schedule has been harder than Minnesota. They're in based on preseason ranking, absolutely no other reason.

Clemson has the same offense that beat ND 30-3 in the the playoff last season and Bama 44-16. The defense is statistically better than last seasons. They scheduled two SEC teams in South Carolina, of course, and A&M. It's not really their fault they ended up not being good. They cant really control that FSU tanked either. It's the same argument every season about them having a weak schedule then they destroy whoever they play in the playoff whether it be Ohio St, OU, ND or Bama. Bama is the only one that's been able to beat them and the 1st time they did it was really close. The games against the teams outside of Bama haven't even been close. They will probably beat the hell out of whoever they play in the 1st rd again.

Get ready. It's very likely...IF... Things continue to play out like everybody thinks
The issue is that Bama beats the livin spit out of either of those teams..and everybody knows it. Clemson plays in a pussy conference too, but they are elite. Oregon and Utah are not even as good as that Washington team that got absolutely annihilated in the playoffs a few years ago. If Pac 10 wants a seat at the big boy table...then play better football than Conf USA.

Georgia has 2 top 10 wins though, they beat an undefeated Notre Dame in their house and then beat a 1 loss Florida team.

You're kind of double talking here...either you reward the good teams who beat other good teams or you don't.

To me Alabama is a better team than Georgia, them being in the same division as LSU means with both of them being dominating all the other teams are taking 2 Ls in that division. I mean A&M is a pretty good opponent, all 3 of their losses were to top 10 teams, 2 came to #1 ranked teams in Clemson & Bama. So it's not like that's just a cupcake that got squashed...

Same thing for an 8-4 Auburn team, sure Auburn will end up with 4 losses, but all 4 will be to top 10 teams, and 3 of them will be to top 5 teams. So 8-4 Auburn is a lot better win than beating even a 9-0 Baylor team (if OU does).

That offense is nowhere near the same. Your argument fell apart at the opening line lol. No one is saying Clemson shouldn't be in, but there's no way you can make the case that their resume THIS YEAR has been better than Minnesota

I think the TV ratings would be highest if OR were allowed to get in, and as wrong as that would be, it could no way be more wrong than putting bammer in there with the extra privilege of a bye week. The advertisers and networks and the media complex that is a part of them are dying to have a west coast team in the final 4. It's the whole reasoning behind dirty Urban to USC.
West coast football is a freaking joke. Nobody wants to see the Puss 10 champ get beat by half a hundred.

And the Oregon team you were arguing for would have lost to that 8-4 Auburn team. How would it make sense for Oregon to jump Bama in that scenario?
Oregon lost to them in week 1 and then went on a 12 game winning streak including their conference championship in that scenario which would be a win over a top 10 Utah team. That’s why.

So, why is Malzahn being mentioned for the Arky job? I understand that Auburn fans have had issues with him in the past, but I think he has a good QB in the making and his defense has been great this year. Why would he leave Auburn to go to Arkansas? Easier job doesn't make any sense because all of these good coaches don't leave just for an easier job They are too competitive than that.

Honestly, I think Arkansas hires another low level non-P5 coach.

When you lose shouldn't matter. If they lost to auburn in the final week or the first week it should have the same effect on their ranking

They're saying he might get fired if he loses to Bama and UGA.

And he's an offensive guy, the defense is not good because of him. That's why auburn is so dissatisfied with him, he's supposed to be an offensive guru and they keep having bad offenses. They'd be in the playoff every year with that defense if their offense was decent.

I agree though, very little chance he ends up at arky.
