I have a strong love of football, I always have. So does my brother, we were both high school QBs, both started 3 years, both go to every Tennessee home game. It's kind of in our blood, and we've always dreamed of coaching together one day. I haven't until recently been in a position to allow the time dedicated to coach, but he has. After 2 years as a QB coach at a local hs, he was promoted to interim OC late in the year, and just accepted the offer to be OC next year. He's asked me to be on his offensive staff next year, and I'm completely stoked. This is a minor dream come true for me.

Awesome news. We will be expecting you to break down the twitter videos for us after every game. TIA.

That's great, man! Make sure you come here for advice. This place has more experts than you can find anywhere.
Need @HankHill to diagram some plays for us. 😂
I had helped break down film with him this year after he got the interim job and drawn up a few plays with him. Stole and tweaked the Shrout to calloway pass for 6 in a game earlier in the year, lol.

If I were OC I'd chuck it long every play. Do you have a JJ on the team?

I actually think we see all three of JJ/Maurer/JG on Saturday. JG will start, but I think someone mentioned a few weeks back that Mizzou struggles a little bit against running QBs, hence why we may see a heavy dose of JJ and Maurer since they're more mobile. 4 of the 5 games they've lost have been to QBs who have some mobile ability (Georgia being the other).

40 yards rushing to QB may not seem like much, but it absolutely can make a difference.

For Reference:
Wyoming's QB: 120 yards - L
Vandy's QBs: 48 yards - L
Kentucky QB (Bowden): 204 yards - L
Florida (Emory Jones) - 39 yards - L

I’m gonna do some tonight haha. I tried to find something cool or creative that Missouri did against Florida buuuuuuuut...... lol the pot was a little dry

its amazing that we cant land a big time RB

The coaching staff is doing it the right way by building the o line. Big time running backs most often aren't gonna commit to a school where backs aren't putting up big numbers. The backs we have will put up nice numbers moving forward because the o line is jelling. If Kennedy and Smith come back next year the run game will be good/great. Also, I think Eric Gray will steal the show next season. He had unfair expectations put on him this season what with the Kamara comparisons and all.

That's awesome! Hopefully you're both able to turn it into a career at an even higher level.

Listened to the Nigel Warrior interview. One of the reporters was a douche and kept asking about the past, and Nigel shut him down. Good for him. Could be a few guesses to who it was, Knoxville "media' is a joke.
I think it was Simonton who asked the initial question that Warrior shot down. Then look who kept asking Warrior to explain why he wouldn't answer the original question.

Well I'm a coach, basketball, so all I can say is.
good luck.gif
Seriously though I'm also a teacher, and coaching is the same as teaching. Find ways to instruct each individual kid so they retain and use what you taught them. Some you will have to be tough on to get them to listen, others you can tell them once in a calm voice and they will do it. If you can read people you can be a good coach.

Good morning. For the last 11 days we have known that our next game is against Missouri, yet we still don't have an "Official Missouri Pregame Thread."

Sad.

Sure would suck if everyone gave the author of such threads a hard time about it. Would hate to see that.

@nicksjuzunk
Been working like heck. Tomorrow morning is probably when that gets done.
