I'm glad Pruit was pissed after a win. We didn't play well at all, actually made a lot of dumb plays that could of easily lost the game. 2 blocked FG's are inexcuable. Coaches should never satisfied, and always looking to improve. That's what makes Pruitt a great coach. Butch Jones would of been happy with that effort, not Pruitt.

Hypothetical question then- If we had won are first two games and we’re now at 8-3 would you still feel that way?
Honest answer is yes. Still a decent gap between us and UF, uga, bama. Until we play them to the wire or win consistently, I will continue to believe we need better classes.

It's just so tough to beat the #1 & #2 recruiting programs consistently with "just" top 15 classes. It's a possibility, don't get me wrong. But the odds are so far against one at that point.

Unlike the "who cares? We won" people, Pruitt gets it. It is about the process/decisions, not the results.

Pruitt can often be happy about the way we played during a loss and furious about how we played while winning. He gets IT. He is process-oriented, not results-oriented.

JG was supposed to be the guy and proved to be our “best qb”. We really didn’t lose any QBs so to speak.

Franks was no doubt their guy and they lost him for almost the entire season.

Both crappy situations, i think losing one to injury as opposed to one not meeting expectations is different.
Losing Franks actually helped them.

Back in September I composed this post:

After observing JG this year, it has become apparent to me that even though he may possess certain physical gifts that can be honed through repetition, he lacks the innate, God-given cerebral talents necessary to be a productive QB. He seems to have no sense of athletic timing, nor does he have that uncanny, almost extrasensory knack for seeing things develop before they actually do. Two things which good QBs and Point Guards in basketball have. I don't suspect that the kid is uncoachable, I believe he's a victim of low football acumen and will never be better than fair-to-middling. You either have it, or you don't. In my opinion, he doesn't. It pains me disparage him because he seems to be a fine, upstanding young man.

JG has proven that I have no idea what I am talking about and I will glady dine on crow.

My favorite ”eat crow” post ever!

Don’t expect a champions of life comment anytime soon. Love his reaction to the win last night. He is focused.
