I think Baron, Big O and Whitehead have spots and we feel pretty good about them. First in of Kaho/Tisdol gets a spot, and that could go this weekend or right after. DW, TJB/Rak and Toll get a spot-- and we'd be thrilled with any or all of them. Ox most likely has a spot. And there probably will be somebody out of left field.
i don't think we have a realistic shot, but there's a part of me that thinks Morven Joseph is gonna be a player, and as a true DE...wouldn't mind to see him in the class. wonder how his visit goes? room is tight for sure.

i pretty much agree iwth you from a "reality" standpoint, though i think Rak is a pipe dream. TJB less so, but we aren't 100% certain he's gonna make it for that OV yet.

would love Toll.

that last spot....that's where i start to go back and forth....toll, hardy, beckwith....several i would take there....or is Ox's spot as guaranteed as we think?

it's about to get real interesting on the trail.....

Toll has a spot regardless?

I get that Catbone is the piss in our cheerios, but the BasketVOLs will be pulling off something unexpected if they finish in the top 3 SEC regular season.

Kentucky, Auburn, LSU (how is Wade not gone?) and now even Florida are all sitting with better rosters. Doesn't mean Barnes can't beat 'em or that he won't...but we lost a lot and Bowden/Turner can't do it all.

Fulkerson and Pons have stepped up some but neither have elevated to the level you need to replace Grant/Admiral...and probably won't. So going to need other players to produce outside those 4 returning guys. JJJ has shown some flashes, and he's a fantastic rebounder/defender already just need him to get to that 8-12 ppg range to help out on offense more.

I think Beckwith has a spot, unless he just waits and waits and doesn't get in when he's told to decide. The coaches went to a lot of trouble to work out that dual-sport thing with BB, and Fulmer was involved. IDT they would have done that without really wanting him in this class. And yes, we need an elite WR, but Rak would be a shocker.

if we finish in the top 3 at the end of the season, that's gonna be pretty damn good. i agree with that.

Florida, unless they get it together, is getable....so is UK. Auburn looks really good and there's two teams i think could wind up pretty good at the end, and that's USCe and UGA.....

we'll hold our own....if we play defense like we capable of, and we can continue to hit jump shots, we'll give almost every team we play problems.

interesting.

Never thought I'd say it. Nor did I think it would happen in the foreseeable future. But it's good to see Tennessee playing decent ball. With that being said we have beat you down and humiliated you of late (50-17 consecutive). Let's take incremental progress with a degree of reality/humility.
You all bring nothing to the SEC.... a tiny stadium that’s half empty, nothing I’m basketball, nothing in Baseball. What do you all have that stack up to the rest of the SEC? Arkansas is an an all time low but they have nice facilities?

Lack of big men could really hurt us on a cold shooting night like last night. More talented teams will clamp down if we go cold on the outside.

Moved to TX from Tennessee 6 years ago. Three kids later, I'll be driving to Knoxville this weekend with my 5-yr old son for his first Neyland Stadium game. Rain or shine, JJ and other seniors deserve 102,455.

Man, I hope we show out in force for this group. What a ride they've taken, so deserving.

oh, and it will happen....probably a couple times lol....

we're not going to finish as well as last year or the year before, and that will be a primary reason why.

but finish in the top 5 or 6, maybe make a run in the SEC tourney, and get in to the NCAA's and i'm gonna be happy.

Florida getting Blackshear is one reason they to me aren't going to be an easy out. All the teams are "getable" because Barnes is an elite Xs & Os guy, and he still has a group of guys that have been in his system for awhile and he obviously can develop talent.

It's more of a is there enough time for it all to start clicking with the amount of young guys that are getting minutes.
