Do any of you guys bet on sports? I want to try it out on some of the weekend games, but I have no idea what I am doing. Any tips?
Me and the roommates seem to have the best luck with the NBA. Quarter, halves, and full game spreads are what we do

If anyone is looking for actual advice, I’ll tell you what I tell my clients for Thanksgiving

1. Light Protein breakfast
2. Light Protein lunch (depending on when you eat the big meal)
3. Bring a delicious low calorie side dish you can really enjoy without feeling deprived and let it do a lot of the work on your plate.
4. Fill your plate with turkey and half of what you normally would eat at the big meal. Give 5 minutes before going back for a second serving.
5. If things get out of hand, borrow some calories from Friday to balance things out.

Just some general tips

Here are my plans.

1. Bacon and pancakes
2. Coffee and whisper creek all morning.
3. Eat all the sides.
4. Pumpkin Pie
5. Pumpkin Pie

Any of y’all use an electric smoker? Been researching and there’s no clear cut winner.
Used a Bradley smoker for years till it completely fell apart, very user friendly, but you can only get the brickettes from cabelas.
Got a masterbuilt this summer, and have a 12lb brisket it as I type. Yea, we do beef on turkey day!
It holds the temp much better being digital, but you have to load it with chips much more frequently than my Bradley. I could load the Bradley and it was good for about 8 hours, this masterbuilt I have to load about every 90-120 minutes.

Alright, so when I am about to bet on the game... The website lists my total stake as $20 and then my winnings as $19.05. I do not lose my original $20 if I win, correct? Sorry, if that is a novice question.
Exactly.

And Hank gave good advice - Bovada has been the nuts for sports and poker ever since Black Tuesday. And just view it as an entertainment expense and limit it to what you may spend at the movies. If you bet $20, then your Expected Value might be -$2 or $3 on average, so it can actually be pretty cheap entertainment in the long run. I don't bet but once every couple years, but like Hank said it can turn a boring game into an entertaining one. For super bowls, party pools and prop bets can be fun too.

I have to add John Ward to those lists of great Vols. He made the game come to life. There wasn’t all the options for watching games as there are now. Ward painted a beautiful picture with his words. His phrases are synonymous with Tennessee Football and Basketball. I loved listening to him call basketball games in my room as a kid. The Nerf hoop on the back of the door. “Bottom” “He guns..... BANG” “Nix..... Clicks” “You walked sir”.

Loved John Ward.
Did he make it? He made it!! Listening to him called the Ernie and Bernie games was very special.

Here are my plans.

3. Eat all the sides.
4. Pumpkin Pie
5. Pumpkin Pie

I love me some pumpkin pie. I can sit down and eat a whole pie by myself.

That Whisper Creek; do you drink it hot with your coffee? I bet that is delicious and their array of flavors is impressive.
I'm going to give it a try.
