Fulmer’s got his back and so do the majority of the fans. He wins and does it right. He’s a bargain. We’ll see.
I’m not saying we ever fire the guy or that we ever should. He’s far and away the best basketball coach we’ve ever had here - maybe Mears but I’m too young to judge in that regard.
But Barnes had an approval rating here higher than I’ve ever seen for any coach, in any sport, at UT or at any school I can think of. Orgeron is probably in that tier at LSU. Barnes is a great coach and his faith + personality has made him a great fit in this community. But the UCLA stuff tainted him. Maybe just a little bit. Maybe like 1%. But once that starts, it’s hard to get it back. Especially at his new salary.
This was never going to be a season up to the standards of the last two years. Too many new pieces. We are so limited inside. As I said earlier the NCAA screwed us over by not letting Uros play. Fulkerson is doing all he can but he was really man handled last night. Not having any appreciable inside game is putting pressure on the outside game and our seniors have not stepped up. In the Memphis game our guards were missing open looks. Last night they were not getting many open looks. They aren't penetrating guards either so that limits what we can do.
This is going to be a long year. Not sure how much the new guy coming in in January will help. It's just really difficult replacing 4 of your starting 5. Three of them being NBA talent.
Next year should be much better with the incoming freshmen, Uros being there, JJJ/Olivier/Pember/Gaines with a year under their belt, and don't forget we have a transfer on the bench that I thought looked awesome in the Rocky Top tipoff. Just gotta survive this year and try scrap out an NCAA tournament bid.
We’ll see.

Yeah I don't know of any. Would be cool if they made that a filter on 247 and rivals though between ESD and NSD. Someone should write them a strongly worded letter.I’m not sure why the responses are such
Since we are talking about South Carolina I looked at their 247 page and they have 22 commits and only 17 signed
I am just asking if there is a link that shows the total number signed by each school yesterday
Put both in front of a chalkboard and Barnes runs laps around Pearl. Give both the same exact player and the one developed by Barnes is better in every facet. Win a hyped game or resurrect the concept of an organized circus and Bruce is the guy.I think Bruce is a better coach than Barnes but i see you.
Never really cared for Bruce’s style of play once the tournament came around. I know he went really far last year but it always felt to me like his brand of basketball is solely dependent on the other team pissing down their leg due to the press defense.I think Bruce is a better coach than Barnes but i see you.
I asked this months ago for the last class, but I'm going to do it again. Out of the signees we have currently, which one do you guys think will have the best college career, and who could be drafted the highest.
