Some kids would do better learning a trade and will make more money if they do that instead of the degree but trades normally max out at 60-70k UNLESS you are able to take it to the next level opening a business where you hire others to do the trade as you grow the business. Most do well in a trade but like I said before, you max out.
.

I have a BS in computer info systems. It has helped me get jobs in the past - like @bignewt says getting a foot in the door. But I’ve never had a job or career in the computer field.

I disagree wholeheartedly with your notion that trades “max out” at 60-70 a year. I work in trades - Instrumentation and Controls technician at a major utility company. I’ve made north of 120k a year the past several years. Hell, I made more than your 70k my first year with the company 6 years ago.

I have a lot of friends in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC trades. The money is good.

Aging work force because for whatever reason, very few young people get into the trades unless they have a family member in them. Fewer workers means more demand, more jobs, and bountiful opportunities.

The kids out there right now getting recruited with zero stars beside their name must magically become better after going to a camp. Plenty of guys will never go to a camp to get graded but will be stars in the NFL. You are the ignorant one here.

Needless to say... you got nothing huh?
Just your feels....

Naw, talking dudes named Hunter that are vegetarians. Since they don’t eat meat, they are just gatherers. Probably should legally change their name to Gatherer Soy Jones/Smith or whatever.

Reminds me of Michael Cera in Year 1.

"I'm a maker"

And? It is a public good.

Shall we repeal free public high school in order to raise the value of a HS education?

Some very backward thinking.

If anything, it should force more students to go after more valuable degrees and advanced degrees.
That’s ridiculous. College is not a public good.

Maybe you 2 are in different areas. I just searched more traditional trades - electrician, welding and plumbing in my area.
$48,000 a year was the highest opening and that was 7 years experience.

VQ podcast stated Nike will be putting double stripes on pants next season. For anyone who cares about that stuff.

I really want our VOLS to win! Curb stomp and Neyland becomes of old, where teams come to in the fall to get their a$$ whipped!
If memory serves me, I remember stripes as a Coach Majors look, Phil’s coup removed stripes.
Every vol fan in the world wears big orange shirts with khaki shorts or pants. Why not khaki pants?
I believe VOLS wore a similar colors years ago, so to continue a tradition?

Using the knee as a "shock" technique will backfire and overshadow the message they are trying to convey. That has always been PETA's problem, too political. I love animals. More than humans in most cases, but I also eat animals(not pork but chicken, beef, fish etc). I have nothing against hunting either, as long as you harvest and eat what you kill. Those a-holes that trophy hunt in Africa need to be gored. That's my 2 centavos.
No pork? Jewish?🤔 or was they a pot bellied pig your not telling us about?

I’d be skeptical of that. Idk your source but most journeyman level craft workers make around 25-30 an hour at least. Plus a lot of overtime opportunities.

I could be wrong but let’s me honest, how likely is that? 😐
