Disagree. No place for that in sports. I know it happens all the time, but video evidence means you should absolutely punish him.
I've heard NFL guys say they've had dudes try to poke their eyes out in the pile. It's a tuff game.

Mullen likes to do a lot of bunch and unbalanced sets with his WRs and TEs. That’s what scares me the most that they do, especially considering how we’ve struggled with assignments.

Also run a lot of high low and clear out route concepts. We can’t sit back in cover 3 or we will look like kentucky did in the 2nd half.

Hank, how do you see Chaney gameplanning for UF?

Look at the newb being all funny...
Thanks!

Didn't say they started out that way; something in them appears to have snapped. They come to sight now as determined to inflict pain on the board as a way of managing or mismanaging their own pain. And honestly wishing that CJP and our team fails for the sole purpose of being able to have been "right" (better right than happy) is a distress signal.

And more importantly, what kind of coach would this job command if you showed them the support staff budget Pruitt is getting.

Probably very few name coaches if they see an AD fire the HC during the second season of what the AD had already determined was a long term rebuilding process. That immediately lets them know they also will be on a very short lease. JMO, but I think the only reason Pruitt took the job was because Fulmer assured him he wasn't on a short leash, and I don't think Fulmer will betray that in Pruitt's second season.

A lot will depend on if they play and how healthy Zuniga and Greenard. They are both NFL edge prospects. Greenard grades out at a 90 against Miami. Put out a lot of great tape.

I think we will see a lot of max protect packages early on with only a couple options. Probably someone out of the backfield or JJ out of the slot. We can’t allow JG to make a major mistake early (all game really) but that’s how i think we will do that.

We had some success against BYU running some cutback/counter concepts so i think we will do some of them at least early on bc i think Florida will come out aggressive early on defense and try to force some sacks and turnovers. If they are able to get pressure only sending 4 or 5 then i really don’t think we have a chance. Bc i think they are going to play a lot of cover 1 and have one Safety playing centerfield and everybody else squatting underneath and the outside CBs will play outside leverage and try to force everything to the middle and make JG find tight windows to throw to. I think they will take their chances with JG being able to beat them with tough throws outside the numbers.

The fact that he even has this much time to throw is a testament to the improvements in our OL. What a difference it would make if he could improve this to the mean!

Chaney is synonymous with vertical route combinations especially off PA. So i think it’s a combination of that and our OL improving in pass protection.

Wow, that tells a LOT!! And that's with veteran receivers too

This is why I like Shrout. He gets it out quick and makes fast reads. He may have been all over the place last Saturday, but if he gets his timing down, he will be better than JG. JG takes way too long in his throwing motion.

We are past the event horizon at this point. Time to get sucked into the black hole.

Seen similar stats, but it's hard to disaggregate throwing time from scheme or having time to throw. One could look at how holding the ball longer affects performance - well JG's passer rating is the same below or over 2.5 seconds. Hilinski's rating is 93 under 2.5 seconds and 89 above, not a meaningful difference either.

Not saying JG shouldn't be releasing earlier sometimes, but we have been talking about plays where it should have gone off 1/3 second earlier, not punishing him for letting complex routes play out and accepting time in the pocket rather than rushing things.

This statistic just isn't that meaningful without seeing what it affects or taking scheme into account. Hilinski has an abnormally low 2ATT time, so it's probably scheming to get it out quick for the freshman.

Imagine if somehow JG went off on them in the swamp. They'd never live that down.

Trying to recollect a game he went off in👀👀👀👀 toss up!!..In 3 years.Auburn or Kentucky🤔🤷🏽‍♂️👀 let the volnation board fight it out for debate as I laugh my ass off because I can count on one hand how many games he went off in.👀😭😂😂😂 my pick though..Auburn.Last year🤘🏽🍊🍊
