What an amazing few weeks for recruiting. Which recruits remain that we are the favorites/CB on? I saw recently that we may have an inside track on the USC Qb in the transfer portal. Is this true and what are our biggest targets left?

"The Vols “most definitely” have told Salter, he said, that “I will be able to come in and compete for the job” next year, with longtime Tennessee starting quarterback Jarrett Guarantano being a fifth-year senior.

“I don’t want to go in nowhere where they already have that player locked in where they know who they want already,” Salter said. “Of course, Tennessee telling me that I’ll be able to come in and compete for a spot, that was a big eye-opener, for me to come in and compete for a spot at the SEC level.”"

I interpret this as JG is the QB in 2020 (probably rotating Maurer and Shrout) and Bailey probably redshirting. Then a competition between RFr Bailey and Fr Salter in the summer of 2021.

I would have to assume either Bailey or Salter doesn't finish their career in Knoxville. Unless the other sticks it out and the winner is 2-3yrs and in the league early.

Should be interesting.

At keast that sounds like the plan. Bailey certainly could still take the job this year, and if he does and becomes a star, I wonder how that will affect Salter's commitment. Because he would essentially be coming in behind the established Bailey, and redshirting while Bailey is a true sophomore. Honestly, that would be the best case scenario for us imo.

Let him play soccer early. Work him into kicking .

Make him throw and hit left handed.

Seriously though, have fun. Watch everything he does. Take it all in because you will look up real soon and he will be 21.
