I thought the same of Garland. He improved ALOT last yr.

Just hope we see continuing improvement. Brumbaugh's production/development hasn't been his strong suit at past stops. But I think Pruitt and Ansley can coach him up too and help teach him whatever Rocker was doing so right with our guys to get them to progress.

Getting so excited the closer we get to football season. Can't wait to see our 2020 class out on the flied along with the RS Freshman from last year who have had a year in the system. And of course the returning starters from last year.

I'm pretty excited about Small. I always like the kids that wait their turn and then bust out their last season or two of HS (like he did). Like his tape a lot and late bloomers become NFL talent quite a lot. Would require a bit of a data dive, but I'd actually wager some of the best RBs in NFL history weren't 5 star kids.

I think your depth concern is valid, if TJ doesn't return. At that point we are 1 injury from being rail thin (of proven, good RBs).

Here’s something I put a little deep thought into:


Tennessee 2019-2020 and Ole Miss 2013-2014 similarities



2014 Ole Miss finished 8-5 with a bowl win. 2019 Tennessee finished 8-5 with a bowl win.



2014 Ole Miss had an underperforming returning senior QB that showed flashes at times mired by some bad ugly performances. Tennessee has the same in 2020.



2014 Ole Miss had a top 15 defense. Tennessee potentially could have the same.



2014 was Hugh Freeze’s third season. 2020 is Jeremy Pruitt’s third season.




2014 Ole Miss improved to 9-3. Some think 2020 Tennessee can.

And Ole Miss ended up on double secret probation.......

I don't see WR as a real position of need anymore. We have a ton of young talent at the position. I don't think that adding a transfer provides an upgrade.
