I don’t think this is Chaneys offense. He is doing what Pruitt wants. This offense looks exactly the same as Heltons.

I completely disagree with this. We threw so many variations of screens and underneaths with Helton. I remember charting passes for SC game that year and JGs completed air yards combined were like 14 or something. We also had a lot more misdirection in the backfield.

JG was basically just throwing extended handoffs under Helton which is probably why he had his best year. He also moved jennigscto the slot and used Calloway to cover him up. I think that’s what we should be doing with Brandon Johnson and use Hyatt and Palmer as decoys.

I’m basing that on Vq saying he ran the scout team last week and the week before. Perhaps they were wrong but I doubt it

Sometimes scout team can be used to get live reps when you need them. It’s not necessarily depth chart burried. Especially for guys recovering.

can we get away with playing a “safety” at ILB?
I know they goes against everything Pruitt does but our pass coverage from those 2 ILBs is just plain awful. I’d give up some run defense to see more coverage there

In terms of the KY game, I'd guess Maurer is the closest we could come to mimicking the KY QB.

Some of you guys are missing the point regarding Pruitt. The reason he's not showing lots of emotion, on the sidelines, is because of that damn mask. I think it's messing him up. Free the man and let him coach without that damn mask.

Chavis is coaching middle school ball in Knoxville right now. Why not bring him in to coach DL as a stop gap until the end of the year?

A lot of NFL teams are doing it. Its a really good idea. Tank would excel at that position imo.

Sorry I can’t buy that running the opposing teams snaps on the scout team is better than running your own teams snaps in preparing a QB to play.
