ah....that does make sense.U serious clark? Big PapaView attachment 317985
lmao, It's always interesting to see who gets offended when you mention the miserable. I've said on numerous occasions it's okay to criticize. There's a big difference between truthful criticism and pure misery.I guess it’s ok to get blown out three weeks in a row? And everyone will still be around. Some just don’t like to pretend everything is all sunshine and rainbows when things are going bad.
He’s not getting another extension. He has two classes of his own and one coming up that is looking pretty good and why extending was done. To get back we need Jimmy and Joes and that is area this staff has done well. The extension allows others to not negatively recruit against our HC. Only way to possibly make it out of this is to stack 4 outstanding classes and get depth for CJP to perform with or the next coach who will not have a total rebuild. However, will be interesting how one free transfer will kill a program if they do fire a coach who kids came to play for. If they transfer in a flood, then you may never recover. We will be stuck with Pruitt for a minimum of 5 years. Have to hope he gets it.
Nix's team did beat Bama when he started as a freshman. This is an absolute "strange" season with lack of practices in the spring. That is why HB needs to get on the field. You learn way more on the field than watching from the sidelines.I wouldn’t use NIx as an example of what we want to happen
Perhaps if nix has sat and Learned by watching he’d be better Today
If we don't give this guy a shot to run our offence pretty soon, someone is nuts over there. He exudes confidence and I believe players would really respond to his philosophy. We might want to give this guy at shot at leading offense. Watch this: only 4 minutes

I've come to the conclusion he's looking at this year totally different than us fans. He's willing to sacrifice this year to continue to instill his philosophy for next year and beyond. He is making his players earn it through their work ethic Sunday-Friday. I really don't think he gives a dam about this year. This is a 10 game scrimmage for him. You could tell it by the game plan against Alabama.
Not disagreeing. Like I said, I think he looks at it differently. Sure he's said he's playing the players that give him the best chance to win. But is that a win on Saturday or is that future, long term success?i'm not advocating firiging anyone....but to this point here, if i were, then my first repsone is "then quit telling us you're playing the kids that give us hte best chance to win, and play more kids so they're developing for next year."
so, basically, i don't think he's treating it as scrimmages, otherwise, we'd see a lot more guys getting reps. especially in garbage time the last two weeks.
i don't have a problem staying true to your core beliefs/philosphies on building a program.
but, imo, i think "earning it" can be done in different ways....
i think that's exactly what he's doing, in regards to reps. and i think that applies all over the roster, not just QB.Not disagreeing. Like I said, I think he looks at it differently. Sure he's said he's playing the players that give him the best chance to win. But is that a win on Saturday or is that future, long term success?
Take JG for instance. Maybe Bailey and the rest of the QB's aren't working like JG in practice. Maybe he's trying to teach them that putting in the work will pay off. It has to be earned.
Apparently the ones that earn the right to play are just not that good either.Jeremy Pruitt's reasoning for not playing young players is a good sign for Vols
So Pruitt's saying there are bigger stronger and faster players on our team, but he won't play them because they haven't earned it.
And I think he's doing that at the expense of this season.
Lol! You sound like someone who can’t have a conversation without throwing jabs to try and get your point across. Yesterday you called people insane because they didn’t agree with you. Now you are saying that I’m offended and miserable. Not offended at all. I am for sure not miserable, it’s a sport and I would stop watching if it made me miserable. I think we need both sides. We don’t need everyone saying everything is fine when it isn’t, we also don’t need everyone saying the sky is falling because it isn’t. And just because you post something does not mean it is truthful and factual and everyone else is wrong. It is your opinion just like everyone else has one.lmao, It's always interesting to see who gets offended when you mention the miserable. I've said on numerous occasions it's okay to criticize. There's a big difference between truthful criticism and pure misery.
The ones that are out there playing now are missing assignments. There is no reason why a safety leaves the middle of the field wide open on a deep pass.I can see it both ways. If younger guys that are bigger and faster can’t scheme correctly and repeatedly miss assignments, then yea, he has a point. If not, then it’s an issue.
The one clear message it sends is early playing for recruits isn’t a given which has been a strong point of Tennessee’s recruiting pitch the last few years.
Tua wasn't sitting to learn, he was just behind Hurts. When Hurts was struggling Saban didn't hesitate to pull him for the FR.Agreed for 21 of the 22 Positions but that’s not always true for QB. That year Mahomes sat and watched for the chiefs was huge and I’d say the same can be said for Tua at Bama. Jones at bama is another great example of sitting and learning
