It's true . He was so shy when he started. A few timeouts later voila!
Pacing myself. One time I posted about Gillespie taking over RB’s coach and having had opportunities to return to his alma mater (Florida) so him coming here was notable. My 50th post, I think. Guy who had been here since close to the beginning and who had 14 total posts in that time, blasted me for “posting to hear yourself talk” and for having my wife as my avi. Suggesting that I didn’t know what I was talking about. That’s when I knew this could be fun. Deserved a lot of my vacations but more were innocuous. Discovered the value of reading and considering (is this worth it?) before hitting submit tho. 😏

After my sarcastic response to your other post, I’ll be serious. This is actually an interesting take. Maybe it’s why our commits continue to stick and keep reaffirming their commitment? Maybe this is the message Pruitt has been telling them all along? My only response against it is it looks like the team doesn’t like this approach since we have laid down the last 2 games.
Like I said, I don't think he cares about this season. He's using this season to let the cream rise to the top. See which one's fight through adversity. See which players want it bad enough to put in the work. It's really probably the same way Saban does it at Alabama he just is able to insert another 5 star.

Sometimes I have to find a different outlet to express my feelings. This is corny AF, and is to the tune of "The Ballad of Hank Williams"

Tee tell us how it really was when you was workin' with daddy Phil

Well in 2020 things were all out of sorts
‘Cause of some virus that damn near shut down sports
We was stacked six deep in the offense film review
Looking for some answers; needing more than a few

We couldn’t rep our QBs in the spring or the fall
But we had some good receivers, the OL looked like it could ball.
And Jim said soon he'd make us all rich
And we started believin' that fat sum bitch

Now daddy Phil told Jer’my if you wanna be the guy
Better start a different QB, even if he’s learning on the fly
But we stuck with #2 even though it seemed insane,
And even in his sixth year he couldn’t seem to use his brain.

Then Phil fired my ass and he fired Chris Weinke
And he fired everybody just as hard as he could go
He fired old Chaney and he fired Jer’my Pruitt
And he fired some people that he didn't even know
‘And we started believin that fat sum bitch’ 😂

Such a default. How about reasonable solutions instead of FAHR EVERYBODY?
My gosh. If one more person says fire someone.... I have not said that once. I haven’t seen anyone really say it but maybe one or two people.

How about we play another QB because our QB is obviously not getting it done?

That could be a good start.

You’re part of a collective that has demanded it...so fringe bennies. Since you threw out the sunshine and rainbow donkeys generalization. 😎

This might be too simple of a way of looking at it... but we have the talent to beat every opponent outside of Florida, Alabama, and Georgia every single year. 9-3 should be the standard, yet we haven't gone 9-3 since 2007.

That's 13 years of piss poor coaching .

You must have a serious reading comprehension problem if you think I have said to fire Pruitt one time. I pray he turns it around because we can’t afford for him not to. And that’s a good one liner I use on the wife sometimes as well, she just loves it.

The strangest thing to me is that we have played 5 games and we still have no idea who the back up QB is.

Same. If for no reason other than this I feel Weinke has failed & needs to go.

He has had JT & JG for 3 seasons, had Maurer for 2 seasons. Granted Helton was the QB coach in year 1, but Weinke has been on staff the whole time.

Had we ran the ball every play from the beginning, there is a good chance we win the game. Running the ball every play down 20 isn't a recipe for success. Easy concept to grasp, my friend.
Nope according to you it shouldn’t matter.

Look, if the best QB you got throws 2 pick sixes, then the backup comes in and throws another leading to a FG against a team that’s known to run others into submission and drain the clock, you deserve to lose. That’s what happened. It is what it is. Gotta move on from it.

Love beating the bye week. I’ll consider it a loss to the bye week if JG starts vs Ark.
Since JG started the Bama game and played halfway decent, I believe he'll start the Ark game as well. He may have a short leash but I just don't think Pruitt is gonna start anyone else on the road.

An YOU have a serious reading comprehension problem (the COMPREHENSION term is really overused on here) if that’s what you got out of my post. You get lumped in depending on your take. I was on record days before the game that we needed to not wait until the Arkansas game to start TRYING TO WIN THE GAME. Equally frustrated with any frustrated Vols fan out there. But you got blinders on if you thinks it’s only a few posters calling for mass firings including Pruitt. Maybe I quoted you but I wasn’t directing it AT you. Peace...Tylenol.

I some what agree. We should be an 8-10 win program every year and we have had bad coaching. But USC had a great stretch with the ole ball coach that probably dropped us down below them during that stretch. And we can’t always expect to beat every team with less talent every single year. But we should beat them at least 3-4 times out of five years. This would still put us as an 8-10 win program every year and seeing if we can beat the big boys (UGA, Bama, UF) for a chance at the East.

I don't think he is going to start anyone else at qb period. Barring injury 2 is his guy. Gonna live and die with him.

Awesome take but there has always been only 1 QB and that’s been JG..Pruitt has admitted off air he didn’t have his highly incoming rated QB prized recruit ready for any kind of seasonal play which blows my mind because if BM and JT are soooo bad..then who’s gonna replace JG if he gets hurt?.thats what isn’t adding up to me personally.

Pruitts approach on this situation has been a whole super sized SNAFU! I honestly think he expected to have the same kind of lucky results he had last year😂😅 and JG ain’t even coming off the bench..No coach in the world would take the same approach this man has..he’s arrogant with balls of steel to pull this kind of amateur s**t move and force feed it as a great idea to a hall of fame former coach and current AD at his very own al mater.

I agree, but that 9-3 should also balance out with us occasionally beating Georgia, Florida, and Bama just like occasionally a Kentucky, South Carolina, and whoever else beats us. If that makes sense

I have zero faith in beating Arkansas with him at QB. There defense is playing well right now. Let’s all pray he is using the next two weeks to prepare Maurer or Bailey for the back half. We have a lot of games that we can win. Shoot we could win all of them with decent QB play. I’m not so down on the defense. I think their problem is lack of effort because of the offense hanging them out to dry. IMO we would see a strong defense who is rejuvenated by a new QB.
