Pruitt goes 3-7 then he still will not get fired

Phil Fulmer

"Jeremy and our football team had to deal with a tough situation. We didn't get to participate in Spring Practice and did not have a full camp. I had conversations with Jeremy and I know he is the man to get it fixed. We all have to work together me included as an organization and support Jeremy and this University. We will work like heck to get Tennessee back as one of the best in the Southeastern Conference

Not pushing Tennessee around anymore FOR REAL this time 👍👍

I think Banks was held out bc he couldn’t push off on his ankle like he wanted to be able to. I saw Simmons dresses out on the sideline during the game but I guess he hasn’t “earned” his playing time

Simmons has played a ton and been hurt in two games so far. He played against Bama and had a deflection on a pass late in the game.

I'm starting to think Nick Saban would turn into a dud if he was our coach. I can't ever forgive Kiffin-- I don't hate him, but firing Fulmer and then hiring Mr. USC is the reason why we are in this mess so deeply, IMO.
It's because we're cheap. University didn't want to shell out for a name coach. They went shopping in the bargain bins which is why we've struggled. They ran the program into the ground. And now there is no quick fix to the problem which leaves everyone frustrated. If they had just done due diligence when they let Fulmer go and hired a successful college name coach, we'd be fine, but they didn't. They chose the flash of Kiffin, got screwed, then have chased cheap ass solutions that haven't panned out. I think Pruitt could eventually figure it out, but it's a multi-year rebuild and Tennessee fans just aren't that patient. We tend to think the next big thing is around the corner, and it's not. No one fools us like we fool ourselves. Before it's all said and done, we'll probably shoot ourselves in the foot all over again. The Big Orange Screw is just the UT way.
