he played them all, more than once last year. he's played 1 of them once this year, and he promptly thru an pick in the end zone.

there's zero chance that if he, or someone on that offensive staff really though HB, BM or JS was better than JG, that they'd still start JG.

but you're right...we have no idea. the coaches do...they see them im practice, they see them in film study and what they're retaining....

the qb situation still sucks. we knew that was a possiblity headed to this season. and it didn't magically get better w/out the benefit of an off season competition.

i've no doubt that JG is probalby stll the one that does give us the best chance of winning, consistently. that does not mean we will, nor does that mean he'll be consistently better.

BM throws 2 picks int eh scrimmage the other night....Shrout threw one in his only game action this season...HB is still developing.

and JG...is, welll, just the same as he's ever been. now if you want to argue that "it can't be worse", then sure, i'm probably not gonna disagree. but i'm not naive enough to think that it's gonna get better either......

Maurer was a true freshmen last year and barely had any snaps before being thrown in. I want to see what he can do THIS year. Shrout is garbage. Bailey, not enough sample size yet. I know for a FACT one offensive coach who asked for a QB change. And how do we know Maurer was picked off twice in practice? Because Swan said so? Was it reported? And I could care less if he throws them in practice. I would rather him throw them there and learn from his mistakes. Our QB has given other teams more points since the second half of georgia to the other team than we have scored on offense.

the outlook on the rest of the season....hm...if we are what we are right now....2-3 finish.

if we get our ish together and play like we're cable of palying, i think we could go 4-1.

we don't need to be worse than 3-2.

i think i could live with any of those if one of the wins was against FL. hell i could take 2-3 if we beat FL and Vandy. or FL and Auburn.

We stick with JG too long resulting in a bad 2nd half of the season. Pruitt figures it out by Auburn. 4 wins which matches the Vegas estimates.

If we only win 3 Pruitt is fired.

We don’t have the money to fire all these guys and go out and get a good coach. Pruitt is safe for another year unless they can get him for cause

How dare you question my sport! We are twice as physical as football players! Lol! In all honesty, I have zero sympathy when we talk about our team getting tired. I ran for ninety minutes with no rest or breaks. Suck it up. But one of my good friends who played wide receiver in college says it is way different so I’ll take his word.

Notes from pruitt on sec teleconference.

On third down calls....

A couple of times we were in four down territory and we tried to take advantage to get to a managable 4th down. there were two times we ran it for first downs.

Sort of figured that's what they were going for, especially the one around midfield down a bunch. But sucks when you only run for a yard or so on 3rd and take the option away. Glad we were at least mentally thinking about playing for 4 downs at that point.

Yeah we would have probably won that game with the review of the kickoff return, but still it should have been a 3 touchdown victory.

I was there, the tiger high kick returner never touched the field. Was never down. All of the defense thought that he was and stopped.

That one play should never have been considered the reason that we lost. Tiger high wanted it more. Tennessee was already thinking about the SEC championship game. Didn’t get fired ip for tiger high and lost to a team that should have been destroyed by those Tennessee players.

It still pisses me off.

I don't think UK did this. They sat back in a zone and picked off our passes.

Yup, no one has. Not sure where this comes from. If people just rewatch the games and count the % of stacked boxes on regular plays....it is quite low.

Offensive personnel mostly dictates how many men are in the box and we don't run a 49ers or Titans style offense that invites more men into the box...mostly the opposite. We ran 10 and 11 personnel an insane 94% of the plays last week. Ain't nobody bringing 8 guys near the LOS with 3 or 4 wideouts.

Naw. Coaches trying to calm the masses and leak information so we all don’t freak out when JG keeps playing. Everyone was thinking we play JG for Alabama and move on. But Pruitt never wanted to do that so there will be more “leaks” stating how bad Maurer and Bailey are in practice and our only option is JG. I bet Price has a long discussion the week before Arkansas to prepare everyone.

I just don't believe this because Pruitt yanked JG last year. I really believe that they think JG gives us the best chance to win (and note: that isn't me saying it). But based on what I was told about Bailey, they just don't want to put him out there with very little development. It's actually very easy to see why they are doing it, but it is certainly up for debate as to if that is what should be done.
