Yeah we can blame Pruitt. Ultimately it does fall on him as HC.

I’d say coming off 0-8 in the SEC and being hired just before ESD that Shrout was the best we could do in that class. Maurer picked up momentum late but we weren’t gonna land a stud QB after 4-8 and 5-7.

It’s a damn miracle we landed HB. I’d like to see what he can do given a little time.

Wrong. They’re solid. I’d say they’re held back by QB play like we are. Really their only weakness

They couldn’t move the ball on our struggling defense and only scored 17 offensive points (not counting the 3 they gave up after the Shrout pick that was in field goal range) JG spotted them 14 points and Shrout 3. They are not good. Defense is decent for them but they are not a good football team.

The more you make, the higher the expectations. You don't pay people millions of dollars to do a job with no expectations of performance.

As far as "standards" go, if you're talking morals, then no, I don't hold others to a higher standard. I hold myself to a higher moral standard than I do others. If you're talking job expectation, I expect everyone to do their job and do it well or face the possibility of being replaced. That's called life. No one gets hired to do a piss poor job.

Agree. The talent we do have will be wasted if they never get to focus on one position they’re best at. There’s a difference in being versatile and being moved so much that you are average at every spot instead of great at one.

Since I don’t follow any other team like I do the Vols, is the switching normal? It sure doesn’t seem like it to me. I get doing some, but it almost seems ridiculous at times. Maybe CJP just doesn’t have the depth and when one position group has some injuries or people out, he throws personnel around to have depth. I look at it as we don’t have enough studs; therefore to get the best players on the team on the field that CJP just moves personnel around to accomplish this. At least that is what I tell myself and that he won’t do as much after a few more recruiting classes.
