Actually Chaney pushed for this and it was the initial hang up. Like you said CJP didn't want to let Friend go and Chaney said he could work with it. The proof is in the pudding this yr that Friend is not a high quality OL coach. All those 4 and 5* guys and we block like upfront. Its a 2 fold issue of: 1. the lack of respect for the qb and 2. coaching.
