One last thing-- Bailey has the potential to be a really good QB for us. He has the tools, the attitude and the work ethic. He needs development, coaching and in-game experience to make the transition. It's really hard to get that parked on the bench. Just ask Shrout.
Has anyone in power discussed Hugh Freeze being available and willing to come coach? Anyone in the AD thought about it as a scenario? This is what the fans really need to know. If not then we are setting our own fate and will never be serious about winning again.

yeah, but shrout was a project from day 1.

HB has been more or less training to be a D1/P5 QB since 8th grade.

learning curve, yes...shoudl be a relatively short learning curve compare to a guy like Maurer or Shrout. or even JG for that matter....

hoping we get to see him play some more.

I find it hard to believe that a kid who shredded 7A football in Georgia is somehow less ready than a bunch of other programs that are playing true freshmen QBs.

no

If he doesn't trust him to call the defense then why hire him? I'm not being argumentative and get what you're saying but he needs to be able to trust Ansley or else this could be another bad hire. JP needs to focus on being the HC cause right now he's failing at both calling the defense and running the team.
I think he was probably told not to call the defense. When you look at him, he is just more involved all the way around when he calls the defense. I want year one Pruitt back. He had fire.

I think the five year stuff is correct. I don't know that UT is not unified. People aren't happy for sure, but I wouldn't call it a house divided. I saw Pruitt and the Chancellor interact a month or so ago and she certainly seemed in Pruitt's camp. Charlie Anderson has been a Pruitt guy from the day he was hired. Fulmer obviously picked him.

As much as I hate it I think we all know regardless of what happens the admin is not going to make a change. Yes, I mean going 2-8 and we are going to stay status quo.

Don't blame any fans if they check out for good after this season. We have been through way too much over past 12-13 years.

You can like the guy all you want but at the end of the day it’s about winning games and coaching well. He’s botched the QB room and not one of our players has improved this year. Heck he didn’t even give the other QBs reps. He will play JG every game the rest of the year in which he feels is a “throw away year”. Why do we have to be so incompetent.

Who honestly will show up for a game next year? They’re losing fan interest and money next year too. There won’t be 70k in that stadium game one.

There's no decision to be made. Pruitt will be the coach of UT next year. All of this talk of Freeze or anyone else is just angry posters venting. The university is not going to fire Pruitt this year when they can claim COVID as an excuse. They're not going to eat that buyout this year. Just not going to happen. We, as fans, can bitch all we want, but Fulmer doesn't care what we think. The university admin does not care what we think. Pruitt will continue to be out head coach, so we might as well suck it up and accept it.
He loses to Vanderbilt and all bets are off. IMO
