Pruitt doesn’t see this year as a mulligan. If he did, he would have played all the freshmen all year and got them experience. He truly believes JG is a good QB. He has got to go.I had high hopes that the light would kick on, much like it did for Ainge when Cut came back. There was no doubt from the first series that Ainge was about to have a great season.
The problem with JG seems to be that he has always, and will always, be an in accurate passer and now that’s compounded by him going into a shell when he faces any kind of adversity. When he does that, he reverts to bad habits.
I have never seen a fifth year qb with the amount of reps he’s gotten stare down a receiver like that on a pick six, bc most fifth year seniors who do that aren’t on scholarship any more.
It’s wild to me that such a defensive minded coach is willing to keep trotting out JG to turn the ball over.
My only answer is that Pruitt sees this year as a mulligan, and didn’t want to turn Bailey into the same damaged goods as he inherited with JG.
But still, damn it, man. Every time he trots JG he’s stealing reps from the future.
You have some proof you can point me to? I’m happy to eat crow.
And then we go 4-8 fire him and hire the HC at some random school with a losing record. Here's what's going to happen.
We go 3-7 or 2-8 but Fulmer and admin will let Pruitt try again next year with Salter because everyone thinks he's going to be amazing. We hire some new coaches and promote some others already on the staff and then go 6-6 juuuust good enough to keep him around one more year.
Salter?Here's what's going to happen.

Several posters have met him, and he’s helped helped out several with Good Samaritan type things. I don’t fault you for being as neurotic as I am about reading this board and catching everything, and I can see why you’d be skeptical. However, this is one of those situations where I think he’s proven it, but it’s hard to dig back through posts bc he’s got it set to where you can’t search his posts.
Moreover, his behavior on here is very different from a lot of supposed “insiders.”
I don't think the University can afford to fire Pruitt, but we're at a precipice. HB has to start from this point forward. If HB starts the whole year, we're likely 4-3, maybe 5-2 and Pruitt isn't on a flaming hot seat. It's past time to move on. If he trots out JG next week, you have to go ahead and make the move.
He’s a douche bag. Doesn’t care about UT footballIt Butch's final season, the whole team needed repaired. It was a toxic mess and it was obvious that it would take 2-3 recruiting classes and a culture change. With Pruitt, it's 1 freaking player holding the team back. I think the players have gotten better, the culture was getting better (until the past few weeks), and recruiting is much better. Why can't JP see that a QB change has to be made? Why have the whole fanbase, most of the athletic department, and half the team disgusted with you? Is JP only after the buyout at this point? Is he intentionally hurting the program? It looks that way to me.
man, it's hard to argue here.Pruitt has changed. He doesn’t have the fire or aggression he had his first two years. He took JG out last year and put in worse Brian Maurer. He knows he’s done here.
