Glad to see Bailey get in, but auburn was up a lot and in prevent defense at that point, so not ready to crown him the savior. Am ready to continue saying he was clearly a better option than JG and would have given us a better chance to win if he'd started.

They were in prevent on the very last drive. Not as much on the TD drive. They likely had two safeties deep, but they also still had all their starters in.

Was Palmer or Johnson in with Bailey? I don't think I saw them.

Pruitt runs the young guys with Bailey!..takes the first team out usually from what I seen!...by the way Calloway is super fast!...if jones doesn’t come back I want Jimmy in his spot or atleast run design plays similar to Velus

I think this is the first time I have ever seen this board basically in complete agreement that this cornbread needs to go... I haven't seen a single poster on here as of this week still defending this guy who clearly doesn't even want to be here anymore... Now there are debates on how long he lasts, but I haven't seen anyone who still feels like we need to give this guy more time at this point and will magically turn things around... CRAZY

Even my wife, who is a casual football observer, was yelling at Pruitt last night. We could have easily won that game. But the insanity of both the play calling and the personnel decisions is glaringly obvious to EVERYONE.

Not a lot of gray area or opportunities to consider alternatives - it is frighteningly right there for anyone paying even an ounce of attention.

When it goes beyond us overly obsessed fanatics down to the casual fans, that’s when you have Neyland empty next year - COVID or not.

I am very high on Bailey, but come on. Bray did not just have a big arm. He had some head issues, for sure, but he was a great QB. And Dobbs set records. Is Bailey better than everyone else since Ainge? I need to see more, sorry.

I often wonder what Cut could have done with Bray.

A fkn 5th year senior threw that pick six.

There was literally nothing there. Wtf did he see? Why did he think he should try and force that ball in there?

Terrible situational awareness. Embarrassing situational awareness. Same as the last play before halftime. Why didn’t he throw the ball. What the f was he doing?

Kid is a loser.
On the replay, it showed it from JG's view. There was absolutely no way in the world to fit that ball in to Palmer. He was covered and Smoke was coming over because he knew JG was going to force it. Simply pathetic.

The fact that we have not thrown a screen pass out of the backfield all year is insane. Opposing defenses just tee off on third down. A screen play probably would have went for a touchdown last night.

I would lay money down that if we'd started Bailey or even inserted him earlier. We'd have won that game or at least come very close to it. As it is... JG is about to get 2 HCs fired. I don't understand it at all, especially comparing how Bailey played to how JG played and despite Rucker's tweet Harrison didn't drive the field during mop up that first drive.
And Auburn wasn’t in a “prevent defense”. They were bringing it every play...fully aware there was ample time for a not quite miracle comeback. Bailey was given backups for his extended cameo...not that it was a bad thing. That first accurate pass that Keyton dropped would’ve sent JG in a funk. Bailey methodically converted first down after first down. For the statue he’s portrayed to be, even that one sack was hard earned by the Auburn defense. I’d forgotten what it looked like for a Vol QB to slightly move around in the pocket to create opportunities.

I don't think the University can afford to fire Pruitt, but we're at a precipice. HB has to start from this point forward. If HB starts the whole year, we're likely 4-3, maybe 5-2 and Pruitt isn't on a flaming hot seat. It's past time to move on. If he trots out JG next week, you have to go ahead and make the move.
