If you go back and read my post, I don't believe I implied that you did. If said if competition scares him away we shouldn't want him. If we are not playing someone because we are afraid he might be successful and that will hurt recruiting we are in more than I thought.

Stupid is as stupid does and Pruitt thinks this is a throw away year.

I know people who can call Peyton too, they don’t post here or know anything more than me. And if the university would handle their affairs correctly I would have no problem donating to them again.
Just because I could make a 6 figure donation each year doesn’t mean I need a bunch of people on a message board to carry water for me. Just like I question him, how would you ever know what I do or don’t do financially? I can say whatever I want here just like you and everyone else.

Guys Im as frustrated with Pruitt as you are, but this forum has become as unrealistic as those Gruden FF thread back in the day. TN is not firing pruit and hiring Freeze. We just signed Pruitt to an extension. Freeze used his state issued cell to call hookers at OM. Pruitt will be back next year. If we fired pruit, TN wouldn't hire Freeze. Any discussion about Freeze is a fantasy, IMO.

LOL, yeah, but, a decade of it is getting......tiresome.

Be nice to have more enthusiasm on Saturdays, but, I'm an eternally damned Bengals fan so, winning........ only know it from the 1990's VOLS. And, Bungles ain't looking to turn the corner any time soon, so, please, rather see good football on Saturdays consistently, again......was so much more enjoyable.

It seems to me that coaching search the Haslams didn't get their way. If it comes to another coaching search I wonder which direction they'd pull? I wonder how bitter they are?

This is the scary thing to me if Pruitt is fired. You just know the Haslams have an agenda to get what they want, and I’m sure it’s none of the names that have been floated on this board that has excitement attached to them.

UT could shift more responsibility to Tee right now, if they wanted to try that scenario. They haven't... which tells you all you need to know.

This is kind of a silly argument considering what we know about Jeremy Pruitt.

What kind of responsibilities could be given that wouldn’t show his own shortcomings?

One example is when we started 2-5 last year, Tee was moved from the box to the field to motivate the players.

Pre-Kentucky and afterwards, you didn’t see him playing and seemed to prefer Maurer. Could be wrong but the part of me that considers that is prolly mistaken. Regardless we disagree and don’t see the same thing...it happens.

I thought Maurer would be more prepared at that point. It is now clear he should not play QB here.

Comments on Bailey were on limited practice time, essentially preparation. He’s now had that, and has game snaps. I’m all in on him taking every snap

My comments are only based on the few snaps we’ve seen. They may be wrong over time and we may disagree for . As you said, I’m fine with both

JG is 12-20 as a starting QB.
Five straight losses by double digits.
Jarrett has more pick sixes than throwing touchdowns since the Kentucky game.
Our defensive and offensive stats are all near the bottom of the conference.

By all means let’s keep Pruitt and keep starting JG. What a joke we have become that this is even acceptable.

And before someone says it’s a throw away year. That’s complete bs and an excuse for losing. If it was a throw away, we would be starting all freshmen and Bailey would have played QB1 the moment he got here.

if the pundits, and my earlier self are correct & this AD wont make a move due to financial constraints. And we're stuck with Cap'n Cornbread, then this class should and better be the class he needs to get to next level.

I do subscribe that Butch left the cupboard bare. I do think we have good coaches, but I dont think Jeremy is a good HC.

Nope. But he does my neighbor and some of the information put on here by AV does not line up with what I’ve been told. JG is 100% Pruitts call and he says it wasn’t. Either Pruitt is lying to AV or I am not sure who he got that info from. Also, saying Bailey isn’t the savior we think sounds like comments from a terrible coaching staff trying to downplay Baileys talent because Pruitt is playing the wrong QB. Every time we have seen Bailey he has moved the ball down the field and even scored. He is our best QB by a mile and our gump head coach wants to make excuses for his bad decisions.
