The Boosters aren't some boy band. They're seldom in harmony. They do not vote in block. In fact, most don't vote at all. They have opinions. They express opinions. They provide input. Some of them help fund decisions. Decisions that, ultimately, are not made by them. For coaches that are not hired by them. After interviews that are not conducted by them. And vetting that is not handled by them.

Some want this guy. Others want that guy. Others say, "hey, we need these guys." Saying "The Boosters" have decided this or that after this or that creates the very false perception that all have the same opinion and want the same thing.

Tell them to hire Freeze. It’s so painfully obvious they don’t prioritize winning.

Took my mom to the hospital for more tests today. Stupidly listened to WNML while doing it. Whoever Ainge's sidekick is, he was all in on why Pruitt deserves another year. Talking about how NEXT year is the year we'll see what kind of coach JP is. As if this year doesn't matter. Why the hell did we play the games then?

Are his actions from a few years ago the hold up or is there more? If it is his past indiscretions, does that ever go away IYO? If by "our administration," you mean Joe DiP, Cheek, Chancellor Bev and Bahama John, then yes, those would have been the ones making the hire at that time.

Here's where I think freeze gets you..

8-10 wins consistently year in and year out, with a chance of having a special team that can make a run every 4-5 years

He'll beat 1 or 2 of our big 3 every year, and always have a tight game against a UK/Vandy -ish team that we should blow out

Is that good enough? to me? Absolutely..

I’ll be glad when this all over (TWSS). Drawn out uncertainty is exhausting. Season isn’t even over and it feels like we are 6 months into a search. Funniest part of that is we probably aren’t in a search at all.

Is this your first UT coaching search? You have to pace yourself, otherwise you will never last through the airplane tracking, Periscope broadcasting, mattress burning, twitter rampaging, legislature speaking coaching search that we excel at.

I am laughing my ass off at big brain Pruitt thinking the solution to all his problems is to hire two coaches from a staff that just got fired and one of three staffs he beat all year.

sometimes going back to being a coordinator is just what the doctor ordered.
