If a change is made, I just hope we finally hire a competent coach. I'm tired of throwing out names. Whoever it is, I just hope they know what the hell they're doing and get us competitive again. And if a change isn't made, I really hope Pruitt figures things out and gets us competitive next year. Tired of will we or won't we. I just want to be competitive and respectable again rather than the laughing stock of college football.

Every statement they have made starts with “I believe” meaning they have no clue, however history suggests coaches don’t last in year 3 with a record like this (Dooley)

old money has been wrong so many times! If this is true at all then let the new money buy a round and if they fail then the old folks can have the nxt 40 because Tennessee is cursed.

From an entire program perspective we at least look like other big time programs now (infrastructure, facilities, players, etc.). He was bringing a knife to a gun fight when he got here, but the next coach will at least gun....let’s hope they bring some bullets.

I'd like to think that, but my BVS screams, "How many kids will transfer out if Pruitt and this staff are fired???!!"

Maybe add PTSD to that list of Tennessee football symptoms.

Not a single fan will be miserable if we have a rebound year and start winning games. Why is it so unacceptable that fans are upset at the absolute cluster **** that has been put on the field the last 3 years? Hope we win today, hope we blow them out, but morale victories shouldnt be acceptable and a measuring stick of the state of the program.

Dooley got fired when he went 4-7 in year 3 and ppl are on here acting like this program won’t do the same, and we are the dumbasses

I DO NOT want this to happen, but based on the last few coaching dilemmas and rumor szns, I will be setting my watch to this:

Game day: if win disregard the rest (highly improbable)
Game day: depending on how quickly A&M runs away with it, rumors start popping up
After game: RUMOR DUMP - here, Twitter, radio, texts from friends, the rock will be sassy
Saturday night: ANY MINUTE NOW! SOON! Fake timelines will start popping up with various fired dates of Saturday night, Sunday morning, Sunday evening, Monday morning, Monday evening. This will start different groups online that favor different scenarios and argue over which one was right.

Sunday morning: Various posts about why he will be fired mid-morning, after lunch, or in the evening. All eyes on the alleged Pruitt/Fulmer meeting. What time is it? What will they talk about? Arbitrary grades and methods are "leaked." "Well, if he really is being graded on xyz, he's definitely fired."
Sunday: "Here's what we know..." posts from every publication. Various "updates" from "behind closed doors."
FLIGHT TRACKER SZN. COACH WATCH. It's not this guy, it's not that guy. Smokescreens.
Sunday night: Why isn't he fired yet? What are we doing? "Don't worry guys, the plan all along was a Monday morning fire"

Monday: no news. More rumors. All of the Monday "should have been fired by now" milestones pass quietly (in the real world). On here everyone is going crazy and the timelines start getting pushed to later in the week or next weekend or some arbitrary date in Jan.

Again, I hope we have resolution, but I've seen this scenario play out 3-4 times on here so I'll just watch and play bingo.

Might be surprised how many don’t who may have been considering the move WITH a Pruitt return. Every time a coach gets fired, we hear the stories that EVERYBODY knew.
