Im in favor of a modified version of the FCS playoffs. Get rid of 2 give me games and go to a 10 game schedule for everyone. Then add those 2 weeks to the playoffs at the end. More money for schools too, more interest in TN playing a first round game vs TN playing ETSU so more money for the schools. Its a win for everybody.

From Bob on TOS

Ok this is what I’m hearing...
I don’t expect a decision publicly until after Christmas. I do believe he is done. Tennessee will try and fire him with cause but could reach a settlement if Pruitt is willing to move on. Tennessee will probably self impose a reduction on scholarships and a bowl ban. Pruitt has ticked off some university folks as well. Plowman and Manning have had a lot of dialogue along with others. Haslam has had contact with Manning and Plowman the last month but it really picked up the last 10 days and the last 48 hours. This is deeper than on field coaching. There are a lot of upset people. I have heard Fulmer is no longer fighting this whatsoever. I don’t have any clue what his fate is at this time. The focus is Pruitt right now. A lot of details to work through before Pruitt is let go. It could happen tomorrow or it could happen after Christmas. If it happens sooner then it’s because he wanted it to. Things can change in a hurry. I don’t know how soon Pruitt will return from Alabama. I know people will have a million questions but this is all I know and this is basically the opinion of someone I trust. A lot of moving parts here. It’s important you all understand that. Candidates haven’t really even been discussed in detail at this point.
A lot of words to basically say nothing.

How does Bama just keep turning over new QBs who are just unflappable. They never seem to have a bad QB - and even the QBs they feel are bad would be day 1 starter at Tennessee
Because their receivers and O line are that damn good. It makes playing QB easy when your guys are always open and you have 6 months to throw the ball.

Did Bob really even say anything though? That read like a Callahan recruiting update. May happen before Christmas. May happen after. Not sure if PF is fighting it anymore. People talking to people. Haslam. Recruiting coaching changes are fluid.

Did I paraphrase that accurately?

Can I be an insider?

Edit: he also contradicts what other “trusted” insiders have said. He says replacements haven’t been discussed. Other “guys who bring reliable info” have said convos have been going on through back channels for weeks.
Doesn't his post contradict what you said last night that Pruitt will be back? The part about Fulmer not fighting this anymore seemed new as well.

Not sure what everyone is expecting from a poster on a pay site that we aren't even paying for.

They also recruit excellent QBs annually and can churn and burn the guys who don't have what it takes. We put all our eggs in one blue-chip guy's basket every 3-4 years and pray he's the next Peyton Manning.

Everyone is naming the same coaches over and over again. I made a list of some others that I haven’t really seen named. I know it is hard to get NFL coaches to come to college but they are all aspiring to be head coaches or have been in the past. What are your thoughts. In no particular order:
Arthur Smith (Titans OC)
Kellen Moore (Cowboys OC)
Brian Daboll (Bills OC)
Greg Roman (Ravens OC)
Robert Saleh (49ers DC)
Todd Bowles (Bucs DC)
Leslie Frazier (Bills DC)
Jerod Mayo
