Not even close. I was at the UK game when Dooley was the coach. I believe that was the worst lost any Tennessee team has had. Time has made you forget how bad that loss was.

It was bad but bray and Rodgers threw the game. This guy got blown out by a KY team at home that didn’t have a good offense. Pathetic.

Wyoming, because we were still respectable then. The Kentucky loss was just more symbolic to me. It was when I realized that the 90s and early 2000s Tennessee football program had completely been destroyed.

If people have a chance to return to some normalcy with tailgating, no capacity requirements on Neyland, and other stuff, they will 1000% flock to Neyland for the first few home games, which is looking like 3 straight home games to open the season.

Nothing is given, but if we are 3-0 and rolling into first SEC game and Pruitt is still the coach, people will be there in upper 80-100K attendance.

I think people underestimate the fact of how many people would kill to be able to have a saturday to go to a game or experience the Hill on gameday.

And it has zero to do with who is coaching on the sidelines.

Lol! We averaged less than 75,000 fans in Neyland in Pruitts second season when he actually pulled some wins off. What makes you think 80-100k will pick one to see a lame duck coach who just won three games the year prior? Attendance will be the worst it has ever been next year (not including a pandemic year).
