I’m not there yet. I think depending on the hire, it could present good unity all around. Remember Phil’s first “search” if you can call it that was a scramble. He will own the Pruitt hire for life. But I also think he will have some input on the next coach after Pruitt. Would love to see a big peace pipe laid out and we hire Kiffin. Phil and Kiffin on same stage for a presser would literally be best thing that could happen for program and energy sake
Uhhh, Phil's ego?

If kiffin left Ole Miss to come here, after 1 year,I know he wouldn’t be above leaving us again the first chance he got. He would be doing the same thing he did to us 10 years ago.

Naw. Kiffin would be easy to keep. You literally lace his contract with the highest paying incentives that his ego would make him stay. Would Tennessee pay $15 million in one year if we won the Natty? Of course would. Make his contract have incentives that could easily make him the highest paid coach in the country in any given season where he wins big. And for the ones where he doesn’t, he has a comfy base salary. Make the real money based on performances.

If there’s any truth to the staff movement posted up earlier, he’s got to go. I just don’t see any way around it.
If half your assistants leave on there own, there’s an issue!
Seems he has a hard time hiring the right guys. Would you as a employer trust a manager that keeps hiring people he cannot get along with or work through issues with? Waste to keep paying assistants to leave . Cut the head off.

Kiffin ain’t happening. The powers that be would have to love everything about him, like a long term girlfriend that left you. It’s doubtful they love everything about him...

It’s been posted awhile ago that some of his hire desires were rejected from above. Was used as an example that the decision makers are not aligned and have not been for awhile... Not making an excuse but suggests a bit of up hill battle for anyone coming in...

If you hire someone like Kiffin, you make sure to but it in the contract he has to pay us $20 million if he leaves.

But we'll never rehire Kiffin.
LMAO. Sexton would not pick up future calls...
The only hope schools have for leverage is the conference or NCAA. Something like transfer rules for players... but that will never happen.
