This coach finished 1-7 with 7 blowout losses and we’re supposed to believe he’s going to change 5 assistant coaches and all of a sudden turn it around. It’s Dooley year 3 only 9 years later.

The problem is Dooley was a decent DC away from winning 9-11 games in year 3 offense. Literally if we even had a shell of a defense, Dooley survives. Looking back when Wilcox got offered out west, I don’t know why Dooley didn’t go to the AD to get Wilcox a massive raise for one more year.

The one thing that is in Pruitt’s favor is that he has the benefit of the entire team returning at no cost to their eligibility if they wish. If the only starters we lose are Trey, Palmer, and Kennedy, it’s not the worst thing for us.

i think would dooms Pruitt for 1000% failure is if Chaney leaves and we have to hire a new OC and system for Bailey to then learn. That would be doing what Phil and Butch did in their final years.

That’s why I said Dooley should have gotten the AD to fork over a one year deal to Wilcox borderline making him highest paid DC in the country. For continuity sake, that likely would have given Dooley year 4 considering our offense in year 4 was prolific

Doubt Pruitt will be fired until the investigation is over. Why would you? They may find something to lower the buyout and they lost that chance because they fired him too early. Hopefully the investigation is only a few more days but who knows.

Why cant we fire hime now. And let the investigation run its course. It could take months. Then if something is found that wouldve been fireable with cause, we just stop payment. I am obviously no lawyer. So that may not work.
