Auburn - 782-449, 2 NC, 8 SEC championships

One is not like the other. I can pull random years too and try to compare but that doesn’t make any sense. Like I said, you don’t know football.

If he is, i hate to say it but it’s at least partially the fans fault. Why would they make a change or want to do any extra when they know that virtually no matter what we’re gonna pack the stadium as much as it allows, buy all kinds of merchandise, and keep tuning in.

I think it has finally hit a wall. Fans are done and it will show next year if they bring him back. Apathy is real and Pruitt has nothing to sell sell. VFL’s I know even say they aren’t bothering to go unless they get free tickets.

The more Interesting thing, now that we know Pruitt is back will be Chaney. Does he go? Or is he back next year, and then what do you do in year 5 after his contract is up? This thing is a mess and a half and there's a right answer and then there's the TN answer

I think @Bassmaster_Vol posted something to the effect of if Pruitt is back, he needs to hire _____ - I forget the name. Briles? Basically his point was he needs to hire someone with a modern offense.

I definitely back that.

I’m a homer. I can’t quit this team. Believe me I would have by now. So if you tell me Pruitt is back, I’ll Homer McFanboy my way through the offseason thinking he will show improvement post JG.

But I’ll anchor that in the hope he hires a quality OC, and gives them complete control of the offense.

My issue with VQ wasn’t the 9.95 a month. That’s not much at all. My issue was you really got nothing for it. The “info” was always wishy washy. “Recruiting is fluid.” And there was no other content. I’d pay 10 a month for access to the podcasts but they’re published on YouTube for free so

The Forums there are a complete show. They make the FF here look classy.

I’m a sucker for Vols info and I like whore the posters who copy pasta, but yeah it’s been a long time since I read anything from VQ via a war room or chat that I didn’t already pretty much know.

The defense was just as big of a mess as the offense was several times this season. So he could hire the best OC in the world and I wouldn't have much hope. Also he would just get too involved. Folks, Jim Chaney didn't suddenly turn into a **** OC over night lol

I think it's pretty safe to say that if Pruitt ends up surviving, the stadium will be filled at barely Covid capacity, even if we are allowed maximum occupancy... this next season will be a joke and we won't be in the top 30 in recruiting... crazy how everyone, including recruits can see how much all of this stinks, yet UT Admin will look oblivious.
Hoping boosters make enough noise to show how obvious the right move needs to be... Who in the heck would they get as a staff to replace all that are leaving? No coach/coordinator with a pulse would touch this place... we will be scouting the high schools or D ll for staff... So hilarious and pathetic at the same time.

Crazy how a few days ago everyone including insiders and media were saying JP was as good as gone, and now people think he survives? WTF

Again how is that even an option and furthermore who’s gonna jump in line to coach with a dead man?

I bet nothing is happening. Fans care and are concerned, but I bet the administration and boosters are in holiday mode and checked out. I highly doubt there was any significant meeting. I hope I am wrong, but I think apathy has take over on The Hill.

The fans have a gangster mentality that the administration needs. I'm not saying fans need to be the ones making the decision, but the admin could stand to have more of a sense of urgency.

In 2017, Florida fired Jim McElwain after winning 73% of his conference games and back to back SEC East championships because year 3 was a stinker and they saw an opening to get a reduced buyout because he lied about death threats. I didn't hear one word from the media about Florida's "impatience" or "high expectations." Why are some teams "allowed" to make an aggressive coaching change, while other teams have out-of-control expectations and need to exercise more patience?

Because we have no pass rush, no linebackers that could cover (outside HT) and an offense that couldn’t score more than 17, thus pressuring our opponents to score.

It was a perfect recipe for crap defense.
