@LA Vol has been saying this for weeks. TN will fire Pruitt if they can ensure an upgrade that justifies spending the money to fire Pruitt and hire the new guy. If the coaches that meet this criteria are receptive then that makes the decision easier. If they get the "thanks but no thanks" responses for their higher tier coaches, they'll wait until next year and try again.
But, pretty much anyone is an upgrade though

What the hell is wrong with these people's ability to make a decision.. It's like they have to lick their finger and stick it in the air every time they take a sh!t....

It should go without saying that making this type of decision as the head of a multi-million-dollar entity requires more thought, input and evaluation than deciding where to go out to eat.

I have seen it in print we had several turn us down. Some of the ones you mentioned here and Mullen.
Lol. You are just making stuff up. Mullen was coming here before UF. He didn’t turn us down. UF came in and that is where he wanted to be. Can’t blame him. Literally giving no facts or examples. Just same, I’ve seen or read somewhere else. Lol. Clown.

If Wet Paper Sack turned us down this year, why do we think that Toe Jam would say yes next year?

This sums up Pruitts team, Trey was a pre season All American, we started 4,5 stars and a sixth year 4 star on our online. JG had started for the last two years was back, two backs that were above average and Tennessee had one of its worst years in 20 years. Defense supposedly Pruitts wheel house, after three years with him doesn’t seem to be any better than when he showed up.
Anyone in position to make a decision in this situation, thinks he should be retained should have all responsibilities stripped from them immediately.

Good luck recruiting some of the schools around atlanta again. They can kiss any support good bye if they keep Pruitt.

If you were trying to control the narrative to pressure your opponents into accepting your position, wouldn't you use that type tactic as well? Fulmer has gone all in on the wrong hand. The question is whether anyone else at the table has the stones to call his bluff and break him.
I don't think that's the case, jmo but I believe he and those directly above him have determined the timing and candidate pool dictate it's better to wait and make a move next year if needed than to force ourselves into a search with no real direction.

Not saying I think this is the correct move but I believe this is their rationale. It could prove to be the correct one as well, only time will tell.

You don't say.... It's not like this hasn't been staring them square in the face for weeks now.... They give the appearance that they're so wrapped up in their individual petty bullsh!t they refuse to get on the same page for the greater good..

Mullen did turn us down. We offered about 7m and he waited because he thought Florida was going to open up and it did. This is from Deerpark who states he actually signed for less at Florida than what we offered. I call that turning us down.
