I’m not sure I believe this. I think he wants his hire to be right and be looked at as saving the program. But he is sinking the ship further.Fulmer believes Pruitt is a good coach and will it turn it around here. More importantly, thinks Pruitt's better than the current pool of coaches that are available.
Someone needs to NarcSame ol crap. Some supporting PF and a faction not. The faction that isn’t is making the case for a complete overhaul including fulmer as part of the deal. And that complicates the entire process hence why more time is needed and also this investigation needs to either highlight what UT can and can’t do with the information once its all put together. I think the outcome however is that these coaches have done a very good job of separation from church and state on the major issues and only minor ones will show themselves...but it all depends how deep the digger is.
"One more year" wouldn't be terrible. The risk here is "one more year" turns into 3-5 more years when everything tanks under a toxic hot seat situation. It's not going to end well if he stays. So there it is. Replacing 3-5 staff members and coming back. It is what it is, at least basketball is fun. We have lived through 15 years of this crap, what’s one more I guess.
Its a lot easier to win in Myrtle Beach then it is in Knoxville. Chadwell has never dealt with the attitudes of the big dogs, never had to outscheme some of the best in the business. Never had to worry about the media and fans jumping his throat when things don't go well. Chadwell is not ready for the TN job much in the same as Pruitt.Yea keeping a proven loser is better than hiring someone who hasn't lost a game this year. You're right
Arkansas didn’t seem to have a problem with a new system. Excuses are getting old. Chaneys system is terrible and has been for the last two years.JG was a huge problem with our offense's production or lack thereof and Pruitt owns that decision.
Our offense was much better, even sadly, with Bailey/Shrout than with JG.
Worst thing Pruitt can do is move on from Chaney and give Bailey a new system to learn. Mightas well fire Pruitt now if its being mandated Chaney has to leave.
Was there a meeting at the basketball game last night?Same ol crap. Some supporting PF and a faction not. The faction that isn’t is making the case for a complete overhaul including fulmer as part of the deal. I think coordinator changes are much more likely, this was talked about even before the firing stuff started. Its been thrown around that Chaney wasn't Pruitts first choice. Do you think Pruitt is going to keep a guy he doesn't love in a make or break year?Yeah well it was also insinuated that Pruitt was likely gonna be let go yet here we are
That's where we are as a program right now. All about saving money. No one over there seems to recognize the fact that wins bring far more moneyLmao. I love how the argument for Weinke is that he has a year on his contract. By no means the production at QB or the ability to do his job. Just the fact he has a year left.
My God what morons
